Good Dryer, Compact Footprint,
November 18, 2009
"My wife and I really did not have a choice when it came to purchasing a dryer (and washer) that would actually fit into our basement. As it is, we had to have a door and part of a wall removed to have the old dryer (and washer)removed. This dryer fit, works well, and given its size, is a great fit for our needs. The capacity was sufficient to dry a queen sized down comfortor, which we had washed in our Neptune washer. It worked great and meets our needs. Drying times do tend to be a bit longer than what I'm accustomed to (with gas dryers), but I have no complaints.
Bottom line: If you have limited space (either through a door or the actual location) your options are limited, and this product may fit the bill, though it is expensive."

Maytag Neptune washer and gas dryer,
June 19, 2006
"I bought my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer about 4 years ago. I bought it because of the front load and energy features. I have to admit my clothes do not fade like they use to do, and the condition of our clothes have lasted longer than ever before.Having both a neptune washer and dryer I just lean forward to put one load to the other machine since they are both front loaders verses standing and then bending over from washer to dryer. I also like the fact it doesn't take alot of detergent to wash clothes. The front load neptune washer and dryer is a real breeze to use and being a Maytag product that alone gives it my highest mark. I have not had one problem with either machine. For the money its worth it. The name stands for itself and the savings are great on the monthly utility bill."
