Overall, this is a good washer, dryer combo.
It only does a VERY small load of laundry (a load about the size of three bath towels) but I was limited by the size of the space I needed to fit, so I couldn't get a bigger model.
You can run the washer and dryer at the same time, which is a plus. (some combos can't)
The dryer only has one heat setting, which seems to be about medium.
It's not too loud and doesn't bang around when in spin cycle.
This is a good combo, but I would only recommend it if you need to fit a very small space.

This was the only washer dryer combo that would fit in the utilty closet I wanted to use. So glad it was a GE product. Runs great and is quite too. Great fit, Great purchase.

The unit is way too small. When the wash is unlevel in the washer, the above dryer unit rocks back and forth. I was afraid that it would break off. Dryer worked for first three loads, then didn't get hot. I am waiting for GE to come out and fix it, then I am returning it to Home Depot. I am very disgusted!!!!

Two Units Bad

Ordered one unit from HD, and it was dead on arrival. The unit was replaced with another same unit, and it lasted less than a week. Several things were wrong with it, and HD was asked to take it back. It was replaced with Amana stack units which have been fine.

I love the GE Spacemaker. The washer is quiet, the dryer is efficient. I live in a townhome and have to maximize every inch. The closet in which it sits only has a 25" opening, so I had to research all 24" stackables. After doing lots of research, the Spacemaker seemed like the best value for its size. The capacity is bigger than my previous washer/dryer combo and much quieter.

NOISE!

I replaced a Whirlpool Thin Twin with this machine and the washer is so loud (cranking and vibrating) that I can't have guests in the house when it is on. I barely heard the Whirlpool, but when it was time for a new one, I bought this because it has a larger capacity and is 1/8" narrower. But I guess padding or soundproofing was sacrificed. Now I have to live with this racket for years to come.

This is exactly the size I needed and it works so well. This space saving wonder has been around for many years. It is tried and true. It does a decent sized load. It thoroughly washes and dries your clothes to your satisfaction.

Love this item because it so efficiant, and it saves up alot of space & it washes as good as a Big washer&dryer .. and it washes a good amount of clothes at a time!!!!

I live in a condo and this size is perfect. The washer and dryer are quiet. The dryer works in half the time of my old unit which is fantastic. Also, you can run the washer and the dryer at the same time which is a great time saver.

I love the fact that it fits very nicely in my bathroom closet. There is enough space on the sides to allow some access to the electrical outlet and plumbing fixtures, if needed.
It doesn't make much noise at all.
I didn't realize how much heat it would give off during the drying cycle, so I have to make sure I keep the bathroom door open. The extra heat will be great in the winter but not the summer.
The washer does not spin the clothes as dry as I am used to with laundromat washers, so the clothes take a little longer to dry since they are wetter.

I purchased 2 of these units for a duplex I own and the tenants have been very happen with these. These are very quiet and the setting for dewrinkle is a very nice feature and worth the cost.

This stacked unit is perfect for a single person in a small condo or apartment. Or, for a weekender second home where one only needs to do small loads. It would fit in almost any small closet and cleans well. Be wary if you have king-sized sheets or hold up laundry for large-sized loads, however, because space is limited.

I purchased this product in order to add more space to my small laundry closet located off my kitchen. This stackable washer/dryer works well and I find it is not as noisy as my last washer and dryer. The only drawback is that the dryer door does not stay open when you are trying to load clothes from the washer into the dryer. However, it is only a minor inconvenience.
