OVERALL, THESE ARE VERY NICE. THERE WAS A PART MISSING AND A BROKEN PART, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO STOP THE INSALLATION, AND NOT NOTICABLE WHEN INSTALLED.

I have used these Blinds for years and have always been very pleased with their quality, appearance, and price. I recently moved to a new home and needed Blinds. You guessed it, I only considered the Home Depot 2" faux wood blinds since the price is outstanding, the quality is great and their appearance is beautiful. They are easy to install and Home Depot will cut to your custom width. You just can't beat them !!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

These blinds look like wood, but are light plastic (which is good). The top/cap molding is attractive and easy to install. The blinds have hanging brackets that will allow you to hang them inside the window frame, overlapping the window frame, or from the ceiling (make sure you measure ahead of time and get the right width/length - Home Depot can also custom cut the blinds to the right length for you). The only negative was a complete LACK of installation instructions in 2 of the 3 blinds I purchased, as well as 2 missing screws. If I had only needed 2 blinds, I would have been out of luck. (As it was, I went online to try and find a .pdf of the instructions, but the company website was a bust.) Regardless, I wouldn't let that deter you from purchasing these blinds. For the price, they look great and they work great. A+ (Don't forget, you will need a small level, drill, screwdriver, and possibly a pencil, when hanging these blinds.)

If you want a great looking set of blinds that are reasonably simple to install, get these.
TIP: The bracketing is not very forgiving if your measurements are off. The first time my measurements were off I took it back to the store and had them recut it... but, at that point, the machine sometimes can't cut just a little bit off.
The second time my measurements were just slightly off, I just took an exacto knife and angled in a cut so that it would slide into the bracket. It will save you a trip back to HD and the bracket covers up any cuts you make (within reason).
Obviously, completely install them before you remove any slats from the bottom.

These blinds are wonderful. They look like real wood blinds. I have had them up for 2 weeks and so far no problems with them. I bought 5 of them. The only problem I encountered is when you have to remove slats from the blind so it's not too long for your window. I had to remove 15 slats, which was easy enough to remove, but the instructions are not too clear in putting the bottom slat back on. I finally figured it out and got the bottom slat back on, but the bottom slat does not close properly so there is a crack that light entersduring the day & that can be seen in at night. I tried to fix it, but to no avail. It was Iabor intensive & took time, but not hard to do. I recommend that you order custom made blinds if the size of your window is shorter than what the store sells. It's worth the difference in money, even though it costs more to order custom blinds. The hassle is not worth it. It would have only cost me $20 more including the tax if I had custom ordered it. I have more windows to do, so I am going to order the next in the size I need instead of removing the slats. Other than this they are great. Also, some of the boxes were missing the hooks to hang the decorator cover, so I called & it was delivered within 7 to 10 days. They were very easy to install.

I have never installed anything so easy...4 screws per window, pop the blind in and presto you are done! These are amazing ! They look great, are very sturdy for having a plastic rail! They sure look expensive! The only drawback, is where they cut the blinds to width, the edges are quite raw. I'm not complaining...but that is the only fault I could find! I'm waiting for the right size to be available for my son's house- I know he will love them!

The price is good especially if doing a whole house. Would have preferred the headrail be metal not plastic and the method for shortening is a little difficult. They look nice.

I like these blinds, have them in my whole house. Installed about 10 years ago but I have noticed the ones I open and close a lot are starting to break. The wand that opens and closes has a plastic piece in them and when it breaks you can't fix it - I have replaced one recently and I may have to return that one because it gets stuck when you pull them up and it took me about 15 minutes to get them down the other day. I have another with a broken wand but it's in the spare bedroom so I will replace at some point.

Would have rated this product a 5; I ordered two blinds of the same size. The blinds were custom cut and one was cut 1/2" smaller than the requested width. Can't imagine how it was incorrectly cut. Fortunately, I was able to use the smaller blind that was incorrectly cut on another window in my home.

We have had the cheap small slat blinds for sometime but our cats are constantly playing with them as they make their way into the window sills. These are so much better its amazing! We will be replacing all our blinds with these untill the entire house is done!

All other aspects of these blinds, i.e. performance, appearance, etc., should be ignored, due to the fact that the mechanism responsible for opening and closing the blind is built of low quality plastic. Once this key part has failed, the entire blind is essentially locked in whatever position it was in when the part failed. Spinning the rod to open/close the blind results in nothing but clicking, indicating the failure.
As of 4/14/12, I have been unable to find a way to replace the failed piece. To frustrate matters, the part appears to have the ability to be replaced quickly and without tools.
As part of the higher end of the price spectrum, this product should be user serviceable and replacement parts should be available.
I'm very disappointed and frustrated with this issue.
