I enjoyed my Weber so much I bought two. One for my Class C motor home and one to use at home. Anything from steaks to turkeys come out delicious.

This is an excellent grill. It serves well as a regular charcoal grill and works great as a smoker if you know what you are doing. my only problem...and it's a big one...is that the lid doesn't fit right because the top and bottom are two different ovals. They are not perfectly round.
If you know about smoking...you know that any leak in a grill this small will cause your temperatures to rise and will be very difficult to control.
overall i'm happy with it but really frustrated when i try smoking something and need a snug fit on the lid.

Me and my girlfriend needed a charcoal grill for our back deck. We were about to host a small September cookout and were looking for a quick find. The Weber One-Touch Kettle Grill fit all our needs. Solid and durable, can withstand the New England weather, and easy to clean up! If I started over, I'd pick this thing in a heartbeat again.

Purchased this grill for my daughter when she recently relocated for school and found that the previous Weber grill we had bought for her was stolen. The grill arrived in excellent shape. With free shipping this made it a great buy. Using the Weber chimney starter there is no reason to go back to gas grilling. Can't wait to get the Weber Kettle Rotisserie. I'm glad I bought the 22 inch grill.

My Dad bought a Weber grill for our cabin getaway when they first came out, sometime in the early 1970s. The new one still cooks great, but the new One-Touch Silver has three important differences than our original.
The first is the One-Touch ash "sweeper". A much easier deal than trying to coax ashes out through the vent holes like the old one.
The second is the weight. When I picked up the new One-Touch I noticed it was definitely lighter than the old kettle. If you store it away and have to wrestle it out, the lighter weight is a big plus. The downside is of course, it doesn't feel as durable.
The third difference of note is this kettle has only ONE handle. That's OK if you only wheel it around, but if you need to pick it up, you'll have to lift from underneath, with nowhere to grab but the legs...a little unhandy. Nice it's lighter ;-).

My family had a Weber kettle grill as I was growing up (I'm over 50) and now I have come back to the easiest and best there is. I have had other grills that have had more bells and whistles, but haven't lasted. Simple is good.

I bought this grill, cover, tool holder and chimney starter and was out the door for about $120. I had it assembled in 10 minutes, went to the grocery and picked out some nice NY strips and Italian sausages. Had the charcoal ready in 15 minutes(chimney starter is a great help). Dinner was delicious, Wife & Kids loved the great flavor. I am definitely going back to The Depot to purchase the indirect coal holders, the hinged grate and the rib rack holders soon. I love this grill already and I am sure I will get a lot of use out of it in the years to come.

These Weber grills can get quite pricey and I am sure they are worth it, but I couldn't spend that much so I got this one.
I am 66 so you can imagine I have had a few grills, some charcoal and some gas. My last gas one didn't last very well so I used it for a couple of seasons as a charcoal but it didn't have the right air flow, it wasn't designed for that.
I never have had a Weber, always opted for a cheaper grill and in doing so probably wasted a lot of money. This time I went for the weber and it wasn't so bad price wise and at the time they HD offered free shipping.
The grill is very easy to regulate the temperature from a slow smoke to a sizzling steak. I usually plan to grill about 3 things as to not waste charcoall. Yesterday I slow cooked a chicken breast for my wife and then cranked up the heat for my steak. I can take chicken or sausage out of the freezer and put it on the cool side until they defrost and then finish up on the hot side. I got the split grill, worth the money, you don't have to take the grill off to adjust the coals or to add if need be. So we got lunch, chicken for salads and sausage for the morning and onion and pepper sandwhichs, could have done more, the grill is really effiecient.
I am not sure what the more expensive grills offer but I am quite happy with what this does and it wasn't as much as a gas grill from Walmart(which is what I did last time), gas still has its place for something quick, but I can live without it for the great flavor you get from charcoal.
I didn't know what they meant by one touch system. It has a clever contraption for cleaning out the ash, you wiggle this lever and the ash falls into the tray so you can dispose of it, works great.
There is nothing about this grill that I dislike, should have bought one of these years ago.

I bought my Weber Kettle in 1988 and still use it. I bought one for my son as a Christmas gift. It's the best smoker I've found. It cooks a mean 'beer-can' chicken, too. I've even used it to cook brownies. I've used it year round in Kansas, Minnesota and Texas. Nothing can match it for quality and durability. There are grills that cost a lot more but I can't imagine any doing a better job.

We grill year round and this grill has delivered for us time and time again. The only nit I have to pick is that the wheels and how they are attached could be improved. However for the price it is very well made. We use it so much that we need to replace it about every three years or so but the great price makes that possible. For an even better grilling experience get a charcoal chimney (also by Weber). All you need is newspaper, no more lighter fluid.

I've had many different grills, but this one is the best thought-out I've ever seen.
Why? Because for charcoal grills the big problem is getting rid of the ashes for the next grilling session, and to allow proper air flow for indirect cooking.
It's called the "One-Touch" because it only takes one touch of the lever to move the ashes down to an ash-catch under the grill.
The racks that hold the charcoal and the things being grilled are also simple to remove and clean, but require very lttle maintenance--especially if you put your grill items on a separate tray to cook on the grill.
When my Weber One-Touch gets a little rusty (because I'm lazy about maintenance), it's economical enough for me to just buy a new one--and normally it takes years of my abuse to wear them out. With a little simple cleaning, these grills might last decades!
