An Upbeat End to an Unduly Long Search

I was looking for a domed see-through waterproof receptacle cover-- one of those hard-to-find items that you know should exist, but no other store acknowledges ever hearing of it. Well, once again, Home Depot, the place that seems to always meet my need, came through. I had even seen one (once) in someone's yard, but I didn't remember where or when (a familiar refrain, isn't it?) But you wouldn't know it even existed by talking to other building supply or hardware outlets.
Once I turned to Home Depot (where I should have started in the first place) my search was finished. Theirs exactly fit my needs, and it worked like a charm. After all my aggravation, I solved my problem for for a minimal cost and right where I know I'll start next time.

Safety with easy installaion

For added safety, I installed 2 SIngle Gang Weatheproof In-Use Receptacle Covers, 1 indoors (under my kitchen sink) & 1 outdoors, to replace exisiting receptacle plates that may get exposed to water. The covers can be used in a variety of configurations and are easy to install ; It only took a couple of minutes! All you need is a screwdriver for the actual installation, and you'll need a pair of pliers, or something similar, to remove the knock-out plugs (they allow the access for your electrical cords). In fact, the knock-out plugs are the only area that I could see a need for a slight improvement; 1 of the 4 plugs did not come out as neatly as I hoped, but it works fine. I feel safer knowing the outlets are proteced from rain and any water leaks under the sink.
