I am a San Jose General Contractor and I install the Kohler Cast Iron Tub in almost every bathroom remodel. The Kohler "Villager Tub" is by far the best tub on the market.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a great tub. It fit perfectly in my new bathroom and is spacious enough to bath all 3 of my kids at once. It also has a non-slip grip, which is great for little kids.

we ordered the tub from the website. Called the store to double check the instock. Paid for the bathtub on the website & had our contractor pick the bathtub up from the store. The store sent us an e-mail that the bathtub was ready for pick-up. This transaction was fast & easy, quick & simple.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Just a warning though - it is massively heavy and will require 4 men to carry up the stairs.

I bought and just installed the Villager tub and I am very impressed with the quality of this tub. I have seen both steel and plastic tubs and this cast iron tub is so much better. Cast iron just looks beautiful, very shinny and clean. Cast iron it is very tough, and it is very easy to clean. It also holds heat much better if your taking a bath. Most importantly it is very stable, no movement at all when you use it. This bathtub is shallow, it is only a 14" tub so you can only fill it about 8.5" before it hits the overflow. We installed this tub for our baby daughter since we take showers so the water depth was not an issue. In my opinion you get a lot of bathtub for very little money. Most of the cast iron fixtures made by Kohler are well made but expensive. This bathtub is made in the same factory in Wisconsin but is about half the price of other Kohler tubs. Simply put it is high quality American Made cast iron at a very reasonable price. We did install this tub on the first floor on a concrete slab. If I was installing this on a second floor, I might have cheeped out and gone with a plastic or steel tub. However after seeing the end result I don't think I could ever live with a steel or plastic tub unless it was a whirlpool tub. Spend the extra money and get a cast iron tub, like this one.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This tub does have a 4" ledge option. The listed weight is 316 pounds with the extra ledge, not 500+ as stated.

Replaced an existing tub in our older home. Most new tubs are a bit bigger and would not have fit. This one was just the right size. Price was great and the cast iron we were looking for. Not much fun bringing it upstairs, but we managed with some help. Nice that it was delivered to our house. However, I thought they were going to call us when it was coming so we could try to be home then. They didn't. My wife came home from work one day and there it was in the middle of the driveway near the garage door. Limited packaging too. Some crating boards on the top and bottom; that's it. When I saw that I was concerned about damage, but fortunately there wasn't any. Overall very satisfied, especially for the price.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Our 50s tub looked it age. Replacing it with the Kohler is a vast improvement not only in looks but safety. The anti skid bottom is a bonus for an aging couple. The cost pales in comparison for the value added to my bathroom remodel. It cleans easily and the overall look helped me retain the "50s" look that I was trying to retain.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Excellent price for this fabulous cast iron bath tub. I have purchased this several times during renovations in my bldgs. Its definitely an excellent choice for this great quality and price. It doesnt have other optional features of course such as extra width on the ledges, etc. But it is very durable, and attractive. Its also very easy to clean!! And the best part is its Very heavy. (over 500 lbs- if you plan on installing it yourself)
Great choice!
Yes, I recommend this product.
