I have researched flea control from many exterminator sites a great deal over the last two weeks. Turns out flea extermination is not a one application and done deal. The fleas cocoon stage is impenetrable by ANY spray or fogger. In fact, I discovered in my research that foggers are not a preferred method of extermination.
This product works perfect because it has an IGR, which they label as FGR. The compound is Nylar and prevents the fleas from developing into adults that can lay eggs - this stops the vicious flea cycle. The other component that is recommended on all exterminator sites for flea control is Permethrin.
This product contains in one bottle the two chemicals that destroy the flea cycle. You may undergo a week to 2 month battle though as fleas stay in the cocoon stage (which cannot be harmed) until they sense a warm body to attack. They can live in this cocoon stage for up to one year! So, keep activity in all the rooms of your house so that they will emerge from the cocoons and become vulnerable. Vacuum every day and spray weekly.
The spray that comes with the product leaks sometimes and I do not recommend it. Instead, buy a gallon liquid sprayer and pour the solution into that. That way you will get a continuous wide even spray instead of pumping every spray.
A flea light with a sticky pad helps if you have a fairly unused room. The light causes the fleas to think there is a warm blooded animal in the room and they will emerge from the cocoon.
Remember: if fleas come back after you spray that is because they are still hatching. While they are in the cocoon stage nothing can kill them. It may take up to 2 months of work since they hatch irregularly. With this product I am finding fleas jumping irregularly and easily catchable on the floor - as if they are poisoned. In addition, I have found lots of dead fleas on the floor so far it definitely works.

I was worried about this product affecting the wood floors in our home (we don't have any carpet). I was also worried about the sprayer breaking. It never did. I sprayed literally the whole floor, wall to wall, and it didn't mess the floors up at all. When i sprayed the base boards, I could see the fleas coming out. It took a few minutes for them to die, but after it set on the floors you could see all the dead ones. We had to mop a couple of time to get the residue off the floor, but it was worth it. And as far as the smell goes, its not that bad. Im pregnant, so I was very surprised how quickly the smell went away. Its not very strong either. I was very impressed.
My only "issue" is that it was too small for us to cover the whole house. thats not really a product thing, but I wish they had like a refill thing or something.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight
Cons: wish it came in a bigger size or had a refill

Fleas were gone after 3 applications (roughly one week apart) in and outside of house. Works better than other fuming and spray products out there. Did not smell too bad nor cause too much breathing discomfort. Will continue to use this product if/when fleas come back.
Pros: Functionality

Used food grade Diatamacious Earth on carpets overnite then sprayed with ENFORCER and let set most of day. Used a SHOPVAC to clean carpets and the flea problem was gone. Sprayed again two weeks later as a backup.
Excellent results.

No, I do not recommend this product.
had this thing for 3 months. once a week I would spray over night then vacuum the next morning. nothing. with the flea treatment my cat was getting. the fleas were fleeing... onto me. I was scratching more than my cat now! And this thing wasn't doing squat. Not sure why HD don't sell it anymore. But I would recommend Raid flea carpet and room spray (it's in a purple canister). HD used to sell them around $7+ dollars. Now that thing works. It kills on contact. Ask the little bugger I sprayed 3 minutes ago.

No, I do not recommend this product.
We sprayed the entire house down at least four times and still saw fleas. Tried the hotshot flea spray in a purple can on our couches and saw immediate improvement. Also, if the sprayer is not stored in an upright position at all times then it leaks.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: bottle sprayer leaks
