January 17, 2010
"Going to go buy another one tomorrow... Actually the unit still works and just makes a bearing noise so I'll buy another for ease of installation... Cost me $ 2.38 per year to own or ,01 cent every two days..."

Long Lasting,
November 29, 2009
"I purchased this same disposal in 1995. Back several months ago, my husband accidently put a spoon done it and one of the blades broke off, but I didn't know it until it was to late. This machine eats everything, except silverware. I'm buying this one again as it is the best disposal I've ever had and I hate being without one. For the money you are getting a GREAT disposal!!!"

Replacing my old corroded one with the same thing.,
August 2, 2009
"The first one lasted 12 years and now I am replacing it with the same Badger 1. The water here in Nevada is so corrosive it eats away the insides of most anything. I noticed water inside my base cabinet and found several holes in the side of the disposer case. I was told the cases are the same on all the Badgers so I went back to the cheapest one. Works great...."

Worked great...buying another!,
July 21, 2009
"I'm headed to Home Depot to buy this same model right after I finish this review. This model was installed in our home by our builder 11 years ago and FINALLY needs replacing. The housing developed a small hole and is leaking. Other than a few jams here and there that were easlily fixed we have not had any problems with our Badger 1 disposal. We never put bones in the disposal but with 2 kids who knows what has been put in there. It has worked just fine for 11 years. I definitely got my money's worth. I never thought it was very loud but then it's only on for a few seconds. Not worth spending a lot of money for something hidden under sink and used occasionally. I've already removed the old one and the new one should be a cinch to install."

plastic housing crackes!!!,
March 21, 2009
"I had this unit for about 4.5 years and I just find a crack on the housing, the whole housing is made of plastic, don't expect it can last a long time. I will not buy this brand again."

It works, and it's inexpensive.,
January 6, 2008
"I originally was going to buy the flashy new Insinkerators, but then I thought, all I'm doing it sticking it under my sink for no one to see! I've put all kinds of things down here and have had no problems. It is a little loud, but you get what you pay for. For the savings, I don't mind a little noise every now and again. Great buy!"
