Electric Patio Caddie Grill
Big time grilling in a compact unit! The electric patio caddie from char-broil is the perfect solution for small decks, terraces, and patios where charcoal and gas grilling is prohibited. The 1650-watt electric heating element and the thermsulate heat-reflecting-and-insulating liner creates temperatures hot enough to sizzle up a steak just as well as a gas grill.

Great grill,

"I have always been a gas grill user but I received the Char-Broil electric as a gift and have been more than satisfied. It does not flame up while cooking, it cooks evenly and over all has performed better than my old gas grill. Also, it looks small but the cooking surface is really quite large. I love not having to hassle with the gas bottles. I am now converted."

"We have had 2 of these in the past 3 years. When first purchased, they perform well. Very easy to use.
Taste is very much like from a gas grill.
However, after about 4-5 months, the electric burning element not longer works. This has happened 3 times on 2 different grills. We have replaced the grill unit once on the first one and am about to do it again on the second one.
Not sure I would buy this model again."

"I bought this grill at the beginning of the summer because I had no choice. The condos where I live banned anything but electric. I was very leary at first, but after the first time using it I was in love. This grill is Fantastic! It cooks quick and has even distribution of heat on the grill, and cleans easily and cools quickly. I wish I bought one years ago!"

"I've had this grill for 6+ years and it is by far the best electric grill I've owned yet. I live in a condo complex that prohibits charcoal & propane. So I bought this one and have been thrilled with it. It cooks just like charcoal or gas. I have grilled steaks, burgers, chicken, even slicked potatoes and veggies. Unfortunately it is going and I must replace it, with another one. Thank you Char-Broil for making such a great product!"

Great for Small Parties,

"The grill was a lot easier and quicker to assemble than I imagined. The installation instructions are clear and easy to follow. The instructions show a small griddle that is placed at the bottom, holding ceramic briquets. Neither this griddle nor the briquets are included in the package and the Charbroil website does not show them in their replacement parts. Therefore, I have to believe these instructions were originally written for a previous model. Aside from that, cooking use could not have been easier. With the top left on at all times, there has never been a need to "turn" any of the food that is being cooked. I've found it cooks as good, or in some cases, better than the many charcoal units I've had in the past. There defintely is a lot less fuss involved. I've even placed two or three hickory chips in the bottom to enhance the taste of the food (2 or 3 is all you need). I would recommend this product to anyone. If not for the small grilddle issue, I would have given it 5 stars."

"This is the best little thing you will ever use....I have gone threw one and just bought a new one. Several members of my family own this grill and they all love it!! Just as much as I do. I highly recommend this grill. I cook everything from pork roast to steak or just a hambuger on it and it does fine everytime. I have even used it at local football games to cook hamburgers and everybody can't believe the great job it does."

"I have had this BBQ for about 5 years. It is a great BBQ!! I got to enjoy the use of a BBQ in the confined spaces of my apartment balcony. I cooks fast and even if the grill is on level ground. not to good for a large group. but perfect for a double date or 2 or 3 friends over."

"I got this grill in 2006 and love it! It is easy to run,clean and move around! It heats up quickly! Everything that I have cooked, comes out great and delicious! The food tastes better than off a charcoal or a gas grill! Get the wood chips to give the food a nice flavor! What is the best, is that I can have it where I live, on my deck! I recommend this product to everyone especially if you live in an apartment. Enjoy!"

"LOVE LOVE LOVE this grill. I can easily cook 4-5 thick steaks on it plus some burgers. I've had my first one 5 years now and I cannot say enough. I was always so scared of the propane and charcoals staying too hot with others. This one is awesome - just remember NOT to put water on flareups - because it is electric. I'm waiting for this one to go on sale - might just get my kids one too."

"Easy to use and quick to heat up, it is great for apt/condos where open flame and gas/propane is not permitted. I was one of the first I knew of to purchase one; family and friends are amazed at the quality of the griling this little gem creates with just electricity. So much so, that my "demonstration" of its quality (streaks, chicken, burgers, dogs, vegetables, etc) has led to 3 additional Caddie purchases for their condos. Because it uses 10 ceramic briquettes (which can be purchased at Home Depot when it comes time to change them), the flavour captured is similar to more expensive traditional grills. There is some "movement" issues as the wheels are so-so and moving it around too far is a bit of a chore, but you get used to how to "drive!! Easy to clean and so awesome that I use it here in Orlando on a weekly basis - if not more - even if just grilling for myself. Definitely a great investment for those wanting to grill but cannot have a propane grill."

"I was concerned that the bottom may trap meat juices, etc., but it does have a hole for waste to trickle out into a suspended cup, which can be lined with aluminum foil for very easy clean up. You can't see that in the photo, but it is there."

"I used this grill at a friends during a gathering. It cooks with good flavor, but I found it's only good for about 1 to 3 hamburgers, or 2 steaks. I filled up the entire surface with burgers and found with it set on it's highest setting, did not produce enough heat to cook a lot of meat. So I had to take the food off and cook small amounts over a period of time. No good for parties. But okay for just one or two people."

"I live in Phoenix, Arizona where we have very mild/hot weather all year long. I use my grill (in the Arizona Room) throughout the entire year. I even bake in it. My kitchen oven is used very rarely now. This is so great I may buy even buy another one for myself and have both grills going on either side of my patio doors. This is a double keeper."

"I have a friend in Florida that turned me on to this grill. You don't need a lot of space and it really is so easy to use! Once you learn how to set the heat, it only took we 2 times to figure it out, it will cook anything way better than a gas or charcoal grill will. Clean-up is a breeze. I would recomend this grill to anyone that doesn't want to deal with the clean-up of a charcoal grill, but you still get all the benefits. I am going to buy one for my mom and a couple of other friends across the coutry. Trust me on this, it is well worth the month, plus consider once you but this grill there aren't any other costs."
