4 Ft. x 100 Ft. Commercial Weed Barrier

Exceptionally strong, made of 100% polyester. Allows for flow of air and water to soil while blocking light so weeds can't grow. Able to withstand heavy traffic. For use in walkways, play areas, septic tank filters, drainage areas and retaining walls.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I spent about 250 dollars last year and I have coverit it with wood chips and rocks also purchased, from Home Depot.
I have lawn and plants in and around where I have put this down and now I have to spray just like I did before I put this weed barrier down.
I find that others should know that lawn and weeds can grow throught this and you will have to spray anyway!
I wished that it had worked for I have put a lot in to the land scape in my back yard.
Sincerely Ms. Catinutah

The better kind, but still need to follow steps

Hi, this is the better type of weed preventer than the lower-grade cloth kind. Even if you use this, there are still some steps you need to take or else it will be useless:
- don't put the tarp down and leave it for weeks without covering it with mulch or stone. if you leave it alone, the tarp will act like a weed greenhouse and tons of weeds will grow under it
- i've had better luck with putting stone down over the tarp then mulch. you *always* need to put down Preen or some other pre-emergent with mulch *regardless* of whether you have weed tarp or not.
again, my best luck with this product is putting down this tarp then covering it within 1-2 days with stone. any weeds that i've encountered have been because of mistakes made by leaving it uncovered or with gaps in the tarp.

No, I do not recommend this product.
I put down & even added newspaper as additional protection to enlarge my patio area. I put the project on hold for a few weeks and weeds started growing through it. I had to pull everything up.
