I have used the old style which was using a plunger with a stick attachment, and this is one of the best way to clear any type of clogs. I have used this on toilet bowl, sinks, and also pipe drain system. The instruction are pretty easy to read and easy to understand on how to use this kleer drain tool. I had this tool for over four years, and today I used my last CO2 cartridge. although the picture I attached is a clean toilet bowl, but I was too eager and could not wait to use the Kleer drain instant drain opener. I really recommend this tool for all your back up drain problems.

After four days of trying plunging, hot water and detergent, enzymes, and chemicals, I was ready to give up and call the plumber for our clogged toilet. As a final attempt to fix it myself, I read the reviews for various products sold by Home Depot for opening up toilet clogs. The Kleer Drain Instant Drain Opener had such a preponderance of rave reviews, I tried it. Only one try and the drain was open. It was easy, no mess, and worked perfectly. Follow the directions, use the plastic splash guard (I used a little plastic wrap around the edges of the guard, just as insurance), and your results should be great!

We had the worst clogged toilet ever. I pride myself on my toilet unclogging prowess, but this was bad, and the toilet bowl was full of unmentionably horrid stuff.
I got the Kleer Drain at Home Depot, and gave it a try. One thing that I haven't seen in the few reviews I read is that it comes with a plastic cover that you put on the toilet bowl, and tape it in place with duct tape. That protected against splash back, though some water did drip down the side of the toilet.
Despite the presence of the cover, the instructions recommend that you wear goggles, which I did.
There was more kick-back than I expected, so I was startled and lost my grip on the device after the first attempt. The instructions say to hold it firmly in place for five seconds, and I didn't do that. My second and third attempts were more successful, and the third one did the trick.
Some other reviewer remarked that replacement CO2 cartridges were not available. That wasn't the case at my Home Depot - replacement parts were displayed right next to the kits. The replacements were about $6.00 for four cartridges. Hopefully they'll still be there if and when I need this device again.

When I first saw this product, I figured it wouldn't be powerful enough to resolve my main line blockage and bought 2 gallons of a chemical main line cleaner instead. However, when I realized that the chemical cleaner asked for a total of 16 hours drain system downtime (8 hours to let the system empty, 8 for the product to work), I read the online reviews and decided to give Kleer Drain a try. One shot and SWOOOOOOSH... problem solved. For about the same price as the 2 gallons of chemicals (which I am returning to the store) I can keep a tool that gets the job done chemical-free. Sweet!

Our bathroom sink has been draining slowly for months. We had tried plunging, chemicals and a snake and gotten nowhere. This weekend it stopped draining completely and, again, nothing worked. 30 seconds of prep and one shot with this thing and it flows perfectly!
It's also very easy to use. My wife was nervous about using compressed CO2 but the kickback was so minimal a child could do it.

I am 68 years old and not very strong in my arms at all. So after plunging for 3 days and still clogged up, I bought the KleerDrain! I had a similar product but had worn it out (no air capsule, you just pumped the air thru it, but watch out for the loose skin between your thumb and forefinger, it would get badly pinched with just a couple of plunges)!! SO when this one took one push and the Co2 cartridge shot off it startled me, but the "full" commode was instantly empty. I wish I had read this page first and would have taken some pictures, but it is too late now!! I came here to write a review and this is a product that really works. The only cons I have are the lack of instructions on the "noise" that you are going to hear, and the instant water going down the drain so fast that I thought I must have "shot" a hole through the floor! But next time it won't scare me and I'll be prepared for the instant opening! YEA!!
I'm very sorry the gentleman had such a bad experience with his, I can't imagine the opening in a commode being as large as he indicated, maybe he wasn't holding it at the right angle?? Who knows but I know I am very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone...
It is a little pricy since you have to buy refills, but it is still less than a plumber would charge for just a house call, let alone unstopping the clog. Thank you KleerDrain, you have a winner in this product. I have only had it a few hours, but again it's a keeper...

If I could hug whoever invented this, I would! I was married for 34 years before being faced with becoming a single Mom. No doubt, trying to repair things around my home by myself is one of the biggest challenges for me personally. This week I was confronted with the biggest challenge ever. One of my toilets was clogged with the ugliest kind of mess. I tried plunging it to no avail. I did some research online for suggestions & saw the Kleer Drain. I ran to Home Depot & purchased it. To help learn how to use it properly, I first used it on a slow moving bath sink that I was planning on putting Drano down. WOW! It worked like nothing I've ever seen. So I then felt more confident using it on the toilet. I installed the splash guard according to the directions, using duct tape to assure a good seal. Although it did splash back a little through the opening in the center it was minimal. The Kleer Drain was powerful & successful. Honestly, the toilet has never flushed that well. I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have been able to repair the sink & the toilet by myself. Every home owner should own one of these!! I highly recommend it.

After 2 days of frustation, hours of plunging, gallons of drain opener, and tearing the sink apart on News Year's Eve day - and no way to get a plummer, I had given up on actually clearing my kitchen sink drain. We have a disposal and I think we just had put too much through it the day before.
Then I decided to go to Home Depot to purchase some more chemicals to put in the drain. As I was wondering through the plumbing isle, a sales associate suggested I try this device. All I can say is WOW!!! It worked, although I had to "shoot" it five times total.
Do youself a favor - buy the additional 4 pack of cartridges. Problem solved for about $30!! I have already picked up an additional pack of cartridges for "future" drain issues!

I found this to be a superb product. It never has failed me. I would recommend this to anyone. However, I have been unsuccessful in finding replacements for the "MAG Power Disk." I have found that for my particular toilet I need to use two disks for efficient clearing. The only possible solution is to buy a whole new tool which seems rediculous!

Cons: no source of replacement consumable parts.

Easily unblocked a drain that had been clogged for 2 days. I couldn't believe how easily. Definitely worth the money! Use the splash guard though!

I'm always skeptical on trying new things. I usually like to stick to what I know works. But I figured if this thing works it would be worth every penny. I had a clogged toilet(there's no telling what my two year old daughter put in it) and a clogged shower which is from my wife's hair. I used a plunger on the toilet for a half hour and nothing gave. I went to get a drain snake and found the Kleer Drain. Within five minutes of getting home both drain were clear. This thing is AWESOME. It's very easy to use.

Had a horribly clogged toilet. I was going to buy the RIGID auger. I've tried using an auger before and never had success with them. Once I read the directions and saw how to use it with toilets, it cleared in two air blasts. GREAT PRODUCT !!!!

Paid a plumbing company almost $250 6 weeks ago to open the drains for my bathtub and sink. A month later they were worse than before they came. Bought this product for $25, took less than 5 minutes and my drains are working better than when the plumbing company had just left. Really impressed and a super easy product to use. Worth every dime!

This thing works. I have a newer low flush toilet and was worried it would make a proper seal to get the required backpressure. I could have gotten a tried and true plunger but this caught my eye. It's not often that "gimmick products" work at all...but this turns out not to be one. Worked the first try...did way better than I hoped.

I had a bathroom sink clog in behind the wall. Started with Mr. Plumber and that did nothing. Then got a 25ft. snake that got a ball of hair out but it actually was worse after it came out. Water went from very slow drain to standing water now. Then tried Hair and Grease Drain Opener because of the high reviews here but that did nothing as well. Last resort was Kleer Drain. First shot popped the tube out of the wall, so I held the tube in and did another shot from the sink and viola, you could hear rumblings going into the pipe and then a big swoosh as the water went down. Awesome product.

Look no further this amazing device will fix your clogs. Just make sure you have a tight seal and it'll work wonders. I had tried everything from liquid plumbers to a snake and a plunger this saves time and money

Cleared a very large and stubborn tub clog. Had to use two cartridges. Must block off overfill drain on tub or pressure won't build up. Worth every penny.

Probably the best $27 investment. Clog gone after weeks of standing water in the shower. I was skeptical, but it made me a believer after one quick shot, but gave it two just to make sure.
