Looks nice but makes you dizzy,
January 10, 2010
"Bought 1 of these for a small fitness room. Like the look when the fan is not on, but it makes you dizzy to look at the clear blades when the fan is running.... (not that you look at a fan that often). It does seem to move air well. Electrician installed it - only problem he had was the difficulty telling if there is a wobble due to "dizzy effect" of clear spinning blades."

Cool but not cool (one-directional),
January 25, 2008
"The airplane propeller design with nickel finish looks good in my new nickel fixtured kitchen/family room. BUT, it only turns one direction making the air force down. I like fans that have the option to pull air up to bounce it off the ceiling. I hear being able to do this allows better overall efficiency for cooling a room. I didn't realize this until my electrician finished installing the fans...over$250 extra dollars later. So I'm stuck with a one-directional fan that is pretty cool to look at but maybe not as good at cooling the air as I would have liked."

Great fan, very well made,
May 19, 2007
"We bought two of these, they look really good. The blades are sturdy, the metal isn't cheap metal, but thick and strong. I'm impressed with the quality given the price.
The fan comes with a wall switch with 4 speeds.
The fan does not move a lot of air in the lowest settings, only in the two highest ones does it provide good air circulation. It's quite silent, the only thing you can hear is the air, and the blades at the highest settings (they sound a little bit like a chopper).
I would recommend this fan, great value for a very reasonable price.
P.S. I had to cut the blades to install it in one of the rooms, I used a band saw, and it turned out to be very easy. No wobble, nothing. We're quite happy with it so far!"

Great Fan,
October 19, 2006
"The fan arrived exactly on schedule and is just like the picture. We like the look very much, and as we are using it in the garage, we didn't want anything "too too"."

Low Key Class,
July 18, 2006
"As you stand in the lighting department at Home Depot and look up at all the ceiling fans the sleek little Florentine IV doesn't make much of an impression, competing with most of the other fans that shout, "I'm a ceiling fan!"
That is exactly why I bought it. The blades are clear Plexiglas; you can see right through them when the blades are not turning. The motor housing and base have a nickel like finish to give this fan a classy look. I have eight-foot ceilings and needed a low-key look. First I bought one for the bedroom and liked it so much I bought one for the living room as well. It comes with a nice 4-position wall switch for a full rage of speeds. It is quiet and both fans were perfectly balanced out of the box, no wobble. I am very happy with the Florentine IV."

"A really great fan - with a great price tag! Instantly modernized our bedroom with its clean lines, clear blades and brushed nickel finish. A breeze to install and quiet too."
