Electric baseboard and these type blower fan heaters are not efficiant compared to many other home-heating systems, but if this is what your home came with (as mine did), there are few better choices. I have 8 of these Cadets in different sizes (4 1000 watt, 2 2000 watt, and 2 1500 watt and they all last for a long time and are quiet. Long time meaning more than 10 years for over half of them, one died after 15 years running with a crayon stuck in the heater element for over 7 years (daughter) so fair warning, YOU MUST CLEAN THEM oF DUST regularly however. I even installed one in my 34 ft RV (under the master bed, blowing forwards through the whole RV) and wired a dedicated 240v circuit to feed it for along side my home for winter use. The wall covers come in several colors and are coated metal (meaning very easy to repaint, I have two painted in heat resistant black). A bargain for the price.
Pros: Easy to Use, Performs Well, Easy to Install, Great Value, Easy to Clean, High Quality, Reliable
Cons: electric heat not very efficiant

No, I do not recommend this product.
runs up your electric bill, running off 240 volt electric service. Much better choice is a Ceramic Lasko space heater for almost half the cost
