No, I do not recommend this product.
Incredibly stupid design. It is very difficult to line up the power tabs on the circuit board with their mates on the backing plate and near impossible to snap the unit shut. What exactly were Lithonia's engineers thinking?
Pros: Looks Great
Cons: Difficult to Assemble

No, I do not recommend this product.
I bought this with the idea of wiring to an extension cord, plugging into the wall and placing on top of my kitchen cabinets. HD used to sell one pre-wired in stores. Unit has a knockout for this and you have to remove the battery cover to access that. When I opened the cover the electrical contacts to the circuit board flew out all over the place. After spending a couple minutes figuring out the puzzle of how it went back together, I decided to return it because I'd have to go through this in two years when the battery needed replacement. Cheap design of edge connectors to circuit board with plastic holder which snapped into battery cover. Nothing in the instructions showed anything on how this part assembled.

Our finished basement is the collecting place whenever we or my son have friends over. Unfortunately when the power goes out it gets very dark down there. This light comes on instantly and lights up the entire basement which is pretty big. It does a great job.

Very cheap contacts. You must have a j box or no chance to install. Front snaps into wiring contacts on back. Poor design.

Good product with fast install

Very fast install. I use these products a lot in group homes. The only down side is that in the group homes the emergency lights have to run for a full 1.5 hours. After about a year of monthly testing and sometimes being called into use, the batteries will last only an hour. If you can live with that I would recommend this product.

Much better looking in a residential environment than the LiteAlert product. Quieter without a relay or transformer hum like other brands and the adjustable lamps make it very versatile. I added grounded cords to them so I could move them around.
