At first it looked like a great mailbox then when you start to put it together it is not. Plastic parts. The flag does not stay up when you need to send mail and the door closure is not tight enought and the door sometimes comes open.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I checked out numerous mail boxes before I chose this one. The selling point to me was the sturdy hinged door. The instructions are not worth paper they're written on but hey, it's a mail box - you should be able to figure it out.

We've gotten compliments on how nice this mailbox looks, and it's been up less than a week.
I hope that it can withstand being hit by a baseball bat, a common pastime among teenagers in this town.

this is a big mailbox...holds mediums size packages very well. it is also very sturdy with a great weather proof finish....it seams to be all metal including the door hinges...

This is a very well made mail box. It arrived very quickly and was very simple to assemble. Simply attach the door and flag with easy to use no tool fasteners. The door is a substantial casting and the finish is a baked on powder coating that looks like it will last for a long time. This is a large box which I needed to ship and receive packages. I needed a black mail box to conform with my home owners association requirements. It was only available in white in the store, but as I said above it arrived very quickly from Home Depot online.

Love this mailbox!!! Great for the price and it is so big, we were able to have mail delivered for a full week while we were on vacation and there was still room. Magazines are able to lie flat at the bottom!

I'm a mail carrier and this is my absolute favorite box! Please buy this one. They always look good, never tear up, open and close easily and are slightly bigger so more packages are able to fit without having a huge boring box.

After looking in several stores for a replacement mailbox, we came across the large black premium mailbox on HomeDepot.com. We were looking for an attractive, functional and "different" mailbox than those found throughout our developmet. This mailbox was exactly what we were looking for. The overall experience: ordering the mailbox on-line, the easy and timely shipment and the simple step-by-step installation was fantastic.
The only fault I would have with this particular mailbox is the latch to the door could be a little stronger as it does not take much effort (or an accidental knock) for it to open unexpectedly.

Had to put in bigger screws in to hold door handle.
Mouting braces are plastic and break easily.
Had to use wood to attach.
Nice size and looks good but don't know how long it will hold up.
Mail carriers are tough on mail boxes.

Since the time of this review, the design of this mailbox has been improved to include inserts to prevent the handle screws from stripping out. The factory has also instituted a number of QA steps to help ensure the fit and longevity of the hinges and rivets.

I couldn't be more pleased with our new Arlington Premium Mailbox. I had been shopping in the local stores, for weeks, and finally decided to try shopping online because I wasn't finding what I wanted,locally. I was looking for a reasonably priced, attractive, durable, black mailbox and was thrilled when I discovered the Arlington collection. The Home Depot website was listed as a place to buy and it couldn't have been easier to find exactly what I was looking for because the site was so easy to navigate. I was especially impressed with the quality of the product itself and also with how quickly the mailbox arrived after placing my order. Home Depot offering free shipping for items over a certain price was also very appealing. I am so happy with the quality of the mailbox and our neighbors agree that it's a very nice addition to our neighborhood.
