My problem with this fan is in balancing.
The first fan we got was so out of balance I dared not allow it run on low. I returned it and ordered a second
Second fan was out of balance, but not nearly as bad. I tried something a little different. I first balanced the motor and inner shroud such that it ran smoothly without blades - do not base your balance on the shroud as it is not perfectly round (I balanced the motor and shroud on my workbench prior to hanging). Only then attach the blades - runs perfectly without a hint of wobble on full speed with the down rod.
Good for the money, as a similar Casablanca is over twice the price, just take some extra time and balance the shroud before attempting to balance the blades.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Out of balance housing

The fan is gorgeous, but is going back.
The housing itself rotates, and is out of balance - so much so that no amount of weight from the included balancing kit will fix it.
Going to order another in hopes that it's a fluke.

I put this fan in my 1924 Mission bungelow--it looked like it was original to the house. Runs quiet and smooth--light too dim to be used as primary light for room, though.

This is a great fan. It blends into the beams of our ceiling just as we hoped it would. The light is great. It's not harsh and gives off a good amount of light.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a beautiful fanlight and fits right in with our decor. Some difficulty for the handyman to install - somewhat different from the usual fanlight but he managed to get it done - good instructions! - and we have been enjoying it. The lights are not as bright as a four-light fanlight but I find that preferable. All in all, a very nice product.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this fan for it's looks. it IS a beautiful fan, however it is not the quietest of fans and makes a strange noise after being run in the forward position for a few hours, but never in reverse. Fortunately I have recessed lighting in the room it's installed in, because the light is very dim. (perfect if you only want accent lighting) I also don't like the fact that the pull chain used to change the direction hangs from the center and is not very nice looking, and you don't see that fact in any of the pictures of the fan in the order catalog, this site, or the box itself.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I purchased this fan after I nstalled one for a relative it is a great period piece. Easy to install with good instruction Fan controls are not included so chose a suitable controls for your applaction (wired or remote). The light bulbs are two 60 watt chandelabra base the shade is colored glass and does not reflect bright but is good accent lighting so if you are using this as your primary lighting then you may want to choose another style of fan. If you do choose this fan you will not be dissatisfied I received a lot of complements form visitors and friends.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I am glad I did not return this. I bought it before we built our house. This one we put in my husbands study. Great for low light we have recessed lights for more light but we use the light on the fan more often than not . I have no complaints.

We installed this fan in our dinning room. The fan is great! But as far as the light very bad!. We cannot see our food when we have dinner. the bulbs are small base bulbs and the max wattage is only 40 watts per bulb. The stained glass is very thick and does not allow very much light through at all. Also the Led channel is stuck on not glued or soldered! This channel will eventually come off from the heat of the bulbs. Hunter really needs a different type of glass as well as a totally different fixture as it does not provide enough light at all. The light fixture glass is very cheaply made for the cost of the fan. I would buy this fan only if you want very low light in a certain area. DO NOT buy it for a dinning or Kitchen area.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Nice fan for the money. Seems to be made well. Light is very dim and limited to two 60w candelabra bulbs. We put in 2-40w and the glass shade cracked 10 minutes after we turned on the light. We are hoping they will replace without issue. Glass should be able to handle the heat from these bulbs...so I assume sub-standard material. SO...I had to rate this 2 stars. Otherwise, nice fan and we love the unusual design. Hope the replacement shade doesn't have a repeat failure.

Very nice-looking product. Yellow glass provides pleasant lighting for atmosphere, but it is too dim for task lighting.
