I own many of the Ryobi One products and I just love them. Easy to use and they work great. So many tools and just one battery. I use them all the time and they work just as good as the more expensive ones that I've purchased in the past.

These batteries hold a charge well. However they die after several months of flashlight use. So, refrain from using the flashlight if you want these batteries to last. My biggest complaint is the price. For bargain level tools $59 is a lot for 2. True they are cheaper than others but they should be.

I have several Ryobi 18-Volt hand held tools. I bought the original Multi-Pak of tools 10 yrs ago. I find the power saw and drill motor are the best I have used. I replace the batteries every 3 yrs or so. Depending on how often they are being re-charged and used. I use the power saw for a lot of projects at home. Things I might have to hire a carpenter for but don't need to since I can handle the light weight power saw.

Ryobi was a good choice for a cordless drill in my opinion. I'm a hobbyist furniture refinisher and the drill and the battery works perfect for my application.

Nice to have two new batteries as my 5 year old ones have gone to battery heaven. From my perspective 5 years out of a Ni-cad is good. I am a heavy user so I feel good about that.Getting two for the price is nice but still wonder why they are as much as they are. They do not last as long as my original batteries did but hey that's why I have two.

First set of batteries lasted about 3 years with heavy use. Second set lasted less than 2 years with light use. This is the third set and I plan to use them often. That's probably the key. They last longer if you use them.

I own many ryobi tools and started to have problems with nicad and lithium batteries. They overheated in some tools and melted the contacts and re-charging life was short. Contacted Ryobi, no help. Took overheated tools to authorized service center and they were no help at all, charged me $20 for nothing. If you buy these, YOUR ON YOUR OWN. WATCH OUT!

In the past three years I have gone through 8 of these, at first I just needed more batteries after few years the original one that came with the tools died, which is expected so I went out and bought 6 to fully equip my tools then they all started dieing one by one, now with 6 cordless tools two chargers I have too much invested to turn back so I buy two more batteries and the last one died and will no longer charge. Now with over $240 in batteries, and $300 into the tools, they are going on craigslist maybe I can get $50 for the lot. Spend the money up front and buy better tools, lesson learned.
