I agree with another review that said these should be kept in stock at the store; for the price, it's a great buy.
The appearance is much more reflective than my brushed nickel fixtures but not as reflective as chrome. I did dull it up a bit more using a #0000 abrasive pad.
Note that the rod is non-magnetic but the end brackets and cover plates are magnetic, so they might not be stainless.
Pros: Great Value
Cons: had to pay shipping (not available in-store)

This is a polished stainless steel (as opposed to brushed stainless steel/nickel) so it's the closest thing I could find to everything else I have in my bathroom. It would probably look just fine in any bathroom that has chrome, stainless steel, or brushed nickel stuff in it. The quality of the bar is quite good. I bought it because I prefer to use regular mount shower bar like this one and I would never use a tension rod! I just don't trust tension rods. Also, this bar is just one big piece that you will most likely have to cut, so there will be no "speed bump" in your shower bar like you would get in a tension bar or one of those extendable shower bars (another one fo the reasons I bought this one). This product is not carried in the stores, but it should be.

I was so hesitant in purchasing this for months and months because I was afraid the description would be true that it is shiny as I was looking for a brushed nickel look to match the rest of my bathroom. One reviewer said it is brushed but another said it was not. Well it definitely is. I couldn't be more happy. I highly recommend this product. What an amazing price plus free shipping. You cannot find anything out there that is better. Trust me - I have spent hours looking!

I bought the brushed nickel finish - and it fits in perfectly with my other pieces in the bathroom. This has a nice finish and looks great. It has only been up a week so i don't know about the long term quality - but being stainless steel, it should last a good long time.

Great product at a great price. Wanted a clean, wall-mounted item and looked all over for something that would work with my brushed nickel hardware. While this is not AS brushed as the rest of my fixtures, it is lightly brushed (not super shiny chrome) so I'm happy with the appearance. Love the "no speed bump" operation as opposed to pressure-mounted shower rods. Changed out two rods in my house - small detail - small cost - worth doing!

After unsuccessfully searching all the stores in my area for a one piece shower rod - I happened to find this one online. All the reviews were positive, and it seemed to be just what I was looking for. This arrived quickly and I am very happy to say it is perfect. The finish on the rod itself is brushed. I would like to mention that my bathroom is mainly chrome, but does have brushed accents - it blends well. If you are unhappy this comes with a return label. Worth a try - great price!!!!

I looked all over for a shower curtain rod that would work in my newly remodeled bathroom. This one is perfect as the rod is in one piece and the flanges will allow the curtain to go almost completely to the wall. The finish matches the brushed nickel that I am using in the bathroom. The rod is stainless steel so it will not rust or change colors.

Much nicer than the cheap-looking builder shower curtain rods that came with our house! A very reasonable price for a sleek, spa-looking shower curtain rod that has no bump in it (like tension rods) and goes with our other stainless-steel hardware. Not sure why the stores don't stock this product, but they should; however, it took a week or less to arrive.

Perfect for my situation. I could not use an extendable pole as one wall is only a retainer wall and would not be strong enough.
I simple cut this pole to the correct size and screwed the ends into the wall and did the job perfectly.

All I wanted was a shower curtain rod like my mothers. It took me a long time to find this product (no store I visited-and there were many-carried it). The shower rod was very easy to install and I am thrilled with the simple, basic look.
