With this wonderful gadget, I can use the same bulb for a bright table lamp in my kitchen as I do for my low wattage night light, without changing the bulb twice a day, which is what I was doing previously. And I use this for an off switch instead of pulling the pull-chain on the lamp, thus subjecting the bulb to less vibration, so hopefully this will extend bulb life, as well. I love it. I only wish it had holes on the back to mount it on the wall.

I own 5 of these, three of which I have owned for 4 years. I actually don't use them for lamps, I use them to control how hot my under tank heaters are for my pet snakes and geckos! The dimmer adjusts heat rather than light in this case, and it does the job flawlessly! It actually works better than many "rheostats" made specifically for reptiles do for less than half the price! I can't express how much easier my life is because if these!

I bought 2 of these back in 2002 and it controls 2 floor lamps on either end of my couch. I have another in my bed room controlling the 2 lights on either side of my bed. They are great for setting the mood or providing just enough light for a sleepy trip to the rest room during the night without shocking the eyes. I was concerned when I found they were not available at the store but it turns out they are available on-line. Yeh!

I live in an old home that does not have wall switches. The Credenza 300 watt lamp dimmer switch has brought light back into our home in a very special way as well as the luxury of the dimmer switch.

I bought this for a 3 way table lamp that I just purchased. I put in a regular bulb and it works well, so I don't have to deal with 3-way bulbs - I just put in the highest watt and can dim as much or little as I want.

A 300 watt lamp dimmer. I had one and was so pleased I bought four more. I am currently using four of them with one to spare. The 300 hundred watt capacity allows you to connect more than one lamp to a dimmer. This works great in the bedroom. The night-light makes the dimmer easy to see in the dark.

I have two of these and use them every day. One is for a wall mounted sconce and the other is for a surface mounted chandelier, neither of which is hard wired. They would work equally well with any lamp. The best features are that you can dim the lamp to any level you like and that you can place the dimmer switch in a place that it is easy to reach.

In our recent move, somehow hubby appropriated my bedside dimmer. Then he wouldn't give it up! So I ordered another. I love that I can be lazy when I'm snuggled all down under the covers and don't have to reach very far to turn out the light.
I initially added it to my order to push me over for free shipping. Yet this item drop ships from Luton, and so doesn't qualify towards your free ship minimum. The cart will lead you to believe that you're getting free shipping because it doesn't differentiate on qualifying vs. nonqualifying items. I failed to notice that shipping had been added back at checkout, but that's my error. Would have made more sense for me to just pick this up in the store.

I was looking forward to using this on my bedroom lamp, but unfortunately it doesn't work well with any lamp in my house, include the new one I just ordered. I will be taking this item back to the store, maybe it's defective. It has an overall review rating of 4, so it's probably a good item. I just got stuck with a bad one.

very very easy to install to an existing lamp. Just plug the lamp cord into the dimmer. Then you can use the dimmer switch to turn the lamp on and off also.
