PL 10 fl oz. Landscape Block Adhesive

Loctite PL Landscape Block Adhesive Low VOC formula is an exterior, heavy-duty, premium quality adhesive designed to meet any landscaping need. It delivers a quick and easy solution to installing the final course of cap with landscape blocks and the installation of cement paving stones. Excellent for landscaping projects, such as securing block walls and capstones and for bonding brick, stone, timbers, concrete, metal and wood. Loctite PL Landscape Block Adhesive Low VOC formula may be used under a variety of moisture and temperature conditions ranging from sub-freezing to elevated temperatures and dry, wet or frozen materials. Provides excellent flexibility to compensate for the different expansion rates of dissimilar materials. It is particularly effective when bonding irregular surfaces or bridging gaps between surfaces.

No, I do not recommend this product.
The product purchased is different from the detailed product. The 'new' product is thinner, watery, grey in color, takes longer to set, seems to expand as it dries. It is a Loctite product adhesive for brick, lumber etc. It has low VOC and no odor. It is easy to use but continues to run out of the tube without pressure from the caulk gun. This product may work if you start using it at the beginning of your project unlike our having started with the pictured product and then found the original product had been discontinued by Loctite and switched to the 'new' adhesive (according to Home Depot). In using the 'new' product in the middle of our project, our stones did not sit level because the 'new' product was much thinner and took longer to set. Our stones actually shifted in placement because they now needed to be anchored in place by applying weight. Don't know how the 'new' product would have held up in winter conditions. Just be aware of the new product compared to the depicted picture and detailed description.
Pros: low voc, no obvious odor
Cons: Hard to Remove, thin watery, grey in color, takes longer time to set, expands as it hardens, runs out of tube even when pressure released

Had a 7' x 7' x 3' koi pond built using large 70lb. Manorstones and used this PL landscape adhesive for construction. After letting cure for 2 weeks, filled pond half way and the wall gave. The PL adhesive did not bind at all and looked like gray bubblegum stretched out. Waste of $$$. Use mortar or cement, as others have for centuries...
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: weak adhesion, expensive
