Customer reviews for 28-60 psi Adjustable Pressure Regulator

28-60 psi Adjustable Pressure Regulator

DIG's adjustable pressure regulators keep your drip system at the correct pressure for an efficient drip irrigation system. This female inlet - female pipe thread outlet regulator allows for adjusting the pressure of your system from 28 -60 PSI. The lower pressure offers protection to your drip emitters that otherwise could be damaged or not operate according to printed specifications due to excessive pressures. Use the pressure regulator on any irrigation system that needs a lower pressure. Install the pressure regulator after the filter in a drip irrigation system. Do not install the pressure regulator on a main line where the pressure regulator is under constant pressure. Adjusting pressure: To adjust the pressure, turn the off, remove the colored cap from the top of the pressure regulator and use a screwdriver to turn the screw under the cap counterclockwise to raise the pressure and clockwise to lower the pressure.

durable and reliable

This is a well built, high quality pressure regulator. The plastic screw will hold up fine if you use the correct size standard screwdriver to turn it. It works when water is flowing through it, so install a pressure gauge at the end of the drip system and check and adjust the pressure with the system running.

No, I do not recommend this product.
This regulator is supposed to be able to drop pressure to 28 PSI for use with drippers, etc. Although it is adjustable, I could not get the pressure below 40 PSI.
Thinking that I had the only bad one in a batch, I purchased another, only to have the same problem. Both will be going back to the store.
Cons: won't work as described

No, I do not recommend this product.
I am NOT a pro at irrigation, which is why I bought a pressure gauge to install inline with this device and a filter. After building the hookup that I attached to a valve on my sprinkler manifold, I ran a single 8 node drip manifold off of the build. I adjusted the nodes from full off to full on while watching the pressure gauge. The needle never moved from 40 PSI. After carefully removing the red cap, I adjusted the regulator ranging from clockwise and counter clockwise turns while all the drip manifold nodes were full on, and still the pressure gauge needle never budged from 40 PSI. I also noticed that the flow to the 8 nodes never increased or decreased.
It's appropriate to say that the pressure before the regulator was 72 PSI the whole time, so the device does step the pressure down a bit. But the adjustment does not seem to have an effect, and the device didn't bring it down to 25 PSI like I wanted.
Since none of my drip nodes blew out after a week of use, and since I also have additional nodes to add, I'll keep the device for now. It just seemed like an adjustable pressure regulator should actually adjust the pressure, especially at a substantially higher price.
Cons: doesn't work as expected, no included instructions about the red cap

No, I do not recommend this product.
Beware the plastic adjustment device; any kind of slotted screwdriver can rip it to shreds before you know it. The unit might work, but I'll never know.
