I have used this product in several commercial applications as well as in the home. It totally eliminates any problems with adhesives or thinset adhering to the tiles and the substructure. When using latex additives in the adhesive, The backer board and the tiles become one semi-flexible structure that does not break loose nor crack. Add on top of that a water sealer and you have a permanent waterproof surface.
Simple to use, cuts with a regular saw. Make sure you wear a dust mask and cut it outdoors unless you want to cover the site with concrete dust.

This product worked great. I installed over pre-existing subfloor in the bathroom. Applied new ceramic tiles on it after installation. Very sturdy and leveled out nicely. Need to use a special blade to cut through if using a circular saw.

Cut & installed very easily. I am very happy with this product and will use it again. You will find that it does smell funny, almost an oily smell?? My neighbor said it smells like Play Doh on steroids.
