My wife sells and buys on eBay. Our standard size mail box was too small. She would have to hang a bag with the extra packages on the flag for the mail carrier.
After purchasing this oversized unit she gets most all of her items inside out of the weather and with added security.
It installed easily and looks very good (color matches our house). The finish is impervious to sun and rain. It has weathered several recent storms with no damage at all. The door magnets are strong and hold soundly. An excellent purchase.

Pros:
We are really enjoying this new mailbox. It was quite easy to install and it seems very sturdy. The main box is very spacious and can accommodate quite large pieces of mail and even small boxes. The back door of the box is very handy. You can remove your mail without stepping into the street. The mail box keeps the mail completely dry. We have had 103 inches of rain this winter and not one piece of mail has been even damp! The two newspaper slots are roomy and convenient. They even hold the Sunday papers just fine.

Cons:
The only complaint that we had was minor. The stick on numbers that came with the box tended to be flaky. The paint broke off of them. We had to have some new ones sent out.

huge mailbox which can handle anything the mailperson can carry. even parcels that come USPS will fit into this box. no assembly needed. only 1 - 4 foot post needed to secure. you need to "plant" the post 2 feet into ground and have 2 feet above ground to secure box.

I like the larger size of the compartment and the dual newspaper slots. My only issue is with the stability of the box. Due to the larger box size, it required me to cut off about 12 inches of the existing 4x4 post. Because the box is top heavy, I have concerns about its' stability if someone should either pull or push the mailbox forward or backward. The only thing holding the box onto the post is 2 screws in the front, which go through the plastic. The back has nothing. It would be better if the plastic portion was fully enclosed and slipped over the post and then screwed into place.

Thought it might be too big but it's perfect for fitting small packages and bulk mail. Took 15 min. to put up, durable.. didn't move through hurricane, I'd say it's a keeper. I love not having to step onto street now to get mail.. and even my mail lady thanked me for the new mailbox! Looks huge in picture, but it is a good size.

My mailbox has been plowed over 3 times. Bought this on the advise of my neighbor who has the same one. He even gave me the 4X4 post he had left. Easy to install, just have to dig the hole for the post, 2 lag bolts with a drill driver, and 2 screws in the back and put the numbers on. That is the only negative, not enough numbers. My neighbor had the same problem. Had to buy numbers at the local hardware. 5 number addresses need more numbers than what is included. Not a deal breaker.

I like this mail box more than any other mail boxes that I bought before, I Had this mail box in my other properties for years and they still look like new, they are big and easy to exis, the doors are very well constructed so no rain or snow can damage your mail. The price is very reasonable; I always recommend this mail box to all my friends and family members and to you.

We did major research before deciding on this mailbox. Step 2 makes sturdy, user friendly products. We own household items, outdoor storage and children's toys all made by Step 2...they last and last.
The mailbox section is oversized. Our magazines and Kodak photo orders now lay flat instead of being 'curled' so to fit inside mailbox. We live on a cul-de-sac so the dual openings were not needed. We permanently closed the rear mailbox door by removing the magnetic latch unit and replaced it with a small right angle bracket (the holes lined up exactly).
The 'stone' colorings are very neutral and blend with any landscape. Even though the mailbox is somewhat oversized, it has a very rounded, pleasing design that doesn't dominate its setting.
Since we get two daily newspapers, a dual paper receptacle was a requirement. Only a very few are available. And yes...the newspaper openings are generous. They are big enough for a circular filled, pre-holiday Sunday paper.
The unit is pre-assembled and ready for mounting onto a 2 foot, above ground stump. We decided to cement the underground 'footing section' hopeful that this unit will be as durable as our other Step 2 products. The only thing that delayed its easy mounting was the weather (snow, ice, freezing temps).
We had one problem though. The first mailbox we ordered arrived damaged. The unit was completely misaligned and not usable. Both
the outer cardboard box and the contents within seemed as though something heavy had been placed upon it. The preassembled mailbox, though still attached to the base, had shifted. The connecting screws were all askew and the rear doors would not open and close correctly. We returned it to our local Home Depot store and were given a credit. When we reordered over the internet, we used Home Depot internet order phone number to specify that we wanted the package to be labeled "Fragile". (We recommend doing this.) Mailbox order #2 arrived in perfect condition.

Again, after much research and review reading, we strongly recommend this mailbox for design, utility and value. We could not find it in any stores but the internet order arrived quickly. Home Depot also afforded the best price and you have the option to return item to store.

This is a great mailbox. It looks nice, holds wide packages, and can accomidate two papers. We thought it was perfect....until someone ran over it with their car. We liked it enought that we are getting another one to replace it.

Replaced my existing mailbox because the post office fined my newspaper carrier for using the mailbox. Now I have room for everyone to co-exist. Now all my neighbors want one.
The one problem I encountered was reusing the existing post. It was too far back from the road, so I had to set a new one. No big deal!

Pros:
Great mailbox! Will hold anything the Postperson puts on it. Love the double newspaper slots. Have admired 2 of them in my subdivision and finally contacted one of the other owners to get info on where to buy it. Just love it.

My only complaint is its back door. Our Postperson gives the mail quite a heave into the box and I have had the back door open when I get the mail. I was able to 'jerry-rig' a turnable lock on the door with a thumb screw, now my mail isn't forced out to the ground. Would be great for the company to add this feature.

This is an excellent mail box, lots of room and I like that you can get the mail from the back without stepping into the road. Easy to install and looks great. Not enough numbers came with it though, so will have to call and get some more but overall we are very pleased with this mailbox and it was so reasonably priced.
