I received this product within four days of placing my order online. It was pretty simple to install and replace my former pump. It is extremely silent & clears the sump well in no time at all. Very very satisfied.

I had to return this product because my basin is only as wide as a 5 gallon bucket which did not allow room for the teathered float to float up and start the pump. In fact, this float up switch seems very dangerous to me unless your pump is attached to the bottom of the basin since it requires a large area to swing upward and could easily get caught on things if the pump moves around as it operates.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I had 2 of these pumps in my basement that I bought 3 years ago and when we got the Hurricane Irene the water table came up and these pumps ran for 8 days None stop they never shut off and I was very concerned because I have a finished basement if one of the pumps would have shut down I would have had very extensive damage. These pumps are very efficient and pump over 4000 GPH and they are only 1/2 HP. I just replaced both pumps with the same Model because I just did not want to take a chance in the future but they both still worked fine. I did a lot of research and these are the best pumps on the market.
Yes, I recommend this product.

My old 1/3 hp Flotec sump pump installed by builder died only after 1.5 year. It might not have worked at all. I have had this new sump pump for two plus months. Not sure about the quality yet. It's fairly easy to be installed. I saw reviews of Flotec sump pumps. The major problem is the float switch. Not sure about the one I have.

The pump works extremely well and is very quiet, to the point I have to go check to make sure its running after a heavy rain. Pumps much faster than the one I replaced with the same GPH rating.

Read a lot of reviews for various sump pumps before I purchased this one. Just installed a week ago so I don't have a long track record on it yet. Seems heavy duty and when it kicks in it empties the sump in under 2 min. I was a bit concerned about the external float switch but so far doesn't seem to be a problem. Can't think of anything I'd change. Pretty simple to install. I recommend assembling as much of the outflow portion as possible before you put it in the sump. Much easier than working underwater with limited visibility not to mention the ice cold part. I like the 5 yr warranty. Most others have 3. The one it replaced had a 7 yr warranty and lasted that long (approx. 10 yrs). Price was reasonable compared to other sources. Delivery was prompt.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I went back to flotec because my previous flotec was ancient and still working. I replaced it because it was starting to sound suspect. This model is heavier and more stable with a very quiet pump action. I would make sure you also get a check-valve since my old check-valve did not fit this model. I wish that these pumps would empty out the water a little lower. There is always at least 4 - 6 inches of water left at the bottom that the pump does not get. This is not an issue of performance so I would not take a star rating off because of this. I've only had this particular model for a few weeks and its been pumping everyday about twice an hour. My older flotec was in the house since I bought the house eight years ago and it was a few years old then. So I know it lasted at least 10 -15 years.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I had two of those and both failed within first year. While the pump works, it's great, but 5 year warranty is a joke. I would think it's got to work at least during the warranty period... Big mistake. And I don't get much water, only in spring time and during really heavy rain. Both times the motor failed to work.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I live in Massachusetts and I am sure many have seen the flooding we have had this past March. Well, I ordered this pump the day after the first big storm and it was delivered in 3 days! Thank God it was ready for the next storm with 8 inches of rain and it saved our basement from a second flood that could have ruined our furnace and water heater. It worked great! It does have a lot of power so make sure you have all the hoses hooked up and secured properly. This is, so far, a great product. I wish we had it for the first storm when we got a foot of water in the basement.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this not knowing how strong my old sump pump was to establish a baseline - since it looked like an old rusty sunken battleship. Without a doubt, it pumps water through at least twice as fast so this may have been a bit over kill. Installation took a bit longer than expected (4 hrs) due to measuring, cutting, and replacing the old PVC and adding a backflow control valve. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase though I may have preferred choosing the attached floater instead of the free floating one. It's also extremely quiet compared to my old one; quieter than a dishwasher.
Yes, I recommend this product.
