Much heavier unit than expected. Installed it with the help of a couple strong volunteers. Definately recommend you contact local fire/building inspector to insure proper placement BEFORE you bring the unit home. The amount of heat we have been able to obtain is amazing! Would strongly recommend to anyone looking to heat a large area.

We love this stove, it was really reasonably priced and does keep our home very warm. Our old one didn't at all. However we have had this stove installed for 3 mths and have consistant problems with smoke backdrafting or billowing back into the house. Comes and goes as far as intensity but for the most part always there. Have had stove installation people and chimney sweeps come to check it out, but they can't figure it out. We have called the company as well and they still say it is installation and won't do anything or even consider it may be the stove.??? Don't know what else to do. Chimney sweeps have told us other stoves of same brand have been having same problems.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Beautiful stove that truly pumps out the heat. Load the huge 3.5 cu/ft firebox full and it will give you 12-15 hours between reloads. We are heating our 2400 sq/ft home comfortably with the Englander 30.
Englander is also well-known for their quality and helpful tech support and customer service.
Home Depot handled my order perfectly ... and the stove was delivered to my home in 7 days and in perfect condition.
Couldn't be happier with my purchase from England Stove Works ... and with Home Depot's handling of my order.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Had an old cast iron stove that finally bit the dust. I researched the market for something that would give us reliable heat and a good visual view of the flame. We were suprised with the light show the upper tubes put on. Not only were they making the stove burn more efficiently they gave a great light show. Went outside to look at the exhaust and it was only about 25% of what I was used to be with the old catalytic stove. I removed the bricks and front door to install it but it still takes 3-4 strong people to move. The Home Depot team was great

I researched stoves for about 2 months. I found this one at my local HD. We have had it in the house about 2 weeks and it is great. It lights easily and when the combustion begins in the top...the heat is on. We have the stove in a 26 ft by 26 ft living room with 12 foot ceilings. This room opens to a kitchen and 16 foot high foyer. In less than 1 hour the temp will increase some 4 degrees-without the blower. With the blower we have plenty heat to keep the huge space in the middle 70s when outside is in the 30s. Fantastic value.

I purchased this stove a month ago and just started using it this past week (40 degrees). My heat does NOT kick on at all and house stays at 75-78 degrees all day. VERY efficient and does NOT require ALOT of wood to keep it going and staying hot. My only issue with the stove is that occasionally my smoke detector goes off (even after the stove is burning hot and door closed). This is my first wood stove (always had pellet before). I never enjoyed using my chainsaw till now! :-)

i upgraded from a pot belly stove to this unit so i didnt have any draw issues at all with my preexisting pipe and chimney the burn in was to be expected and not that bad burned it lightly(low heat)and the next day ran it normally no problem free blower is nice although had a little trouble getting it to spin and when it did was somewhat noisy but not excessive havent used it since radiates heat well and has cut my wood consumption down and increased temps in my house especially in the back of house not sure why unless due to better radiation of heat for the price and size(huge firebox) i would reccomend to anyone

We replaced our old Fisher stove with this Englander. It was hard to let the old one go,but w are glad we did.
This stove is so much more efficient. It burns a lot less wood and burns the wood completly to ash unlike the Fisher which left chunks of unburnt charcoal.
The glass door is a hit with us adding a lot of charm to the room.
It is heating our 2400 sq. ft. home just fine.
I would highly recommend this stove.

After using an "old school" heater for many years I finally decided to update and give one of these a try. It's one of the better decisions I have made. It burns clean and throws off a ton of heat. My chimney is staying clean, we are staying warm, and I am a very happy customer.

We just purchased this stove in September and have completed our first full week of burning. We first set this stove up in our back yard and burned a fire in it for 8 hours to burn the gases off prior to installing it in our basement. Our house is two stories with a basement and we are having to open windows upstairs because it is so warm. the blower works great. We are still working on getting a longer burn out of the stove. Love it!

So far I like this stove. It lights easily, good heat output, holds coals all night, and seems pretty efficient. One noticeable difference from my old stove is that my masonry chimney stays much cooler which tells me its burning more efficiently, less heat going up the chimney. One surprise was the free blower that came with this stove, don't know how it will change the heat distribution, it hasn't been very cold yet but we'll see

We have had our Englander 30 nch stove four years now.No complaints. Heats our 2400 sq. ft. home to 72-74F with no problem.Stove sits right in the middle of our finished basement.Floors above are toasty warm and really nice to walk around on barefoot! This thing takes big firewood. We burn 5 cord of Rock Maple,Yellow Birch and Ash per heating season (Oct. to April). This rig really throws some heat!Draft control works well...ash pan is a little small, but that is a very minor flaw.Would recommend this stove to anyone looking for an excellent quality product at a good price.

Got a good deal on this stove. Just completed my first overnight burn. Very efficient and really throws the heat. Huge firebox (double my old stove), so very easy to get long burn times. Please be aware that this stove requires a R1.5 hearth protector (minimum size 39" x 52.5"). I built a raised hearth from 3" steel tubing, 1/2" Micore, 1" Durock, and stone tile. I built the wall protection from 1" of Durock (spaced 1" off the wall), and stone tile that matches the base. Looks good, and the air flow (that goes under the stove and up the wall), adds another layer of protection.
Yes, I recommend this product.
