1 in. x 8 in. x 10 ft. Common Board

Every piece meets the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. This lumber is for a wide range of uses from framing of houses to basic interior finishing applications. Boards can also be used for carpentry, hobbies, furniture, shelving, and general finish work. The wood has straight grain and has uniform texture. It has low shrinkage and is worked very easily by hand and machine tools. The product is easy to glue and has good nailing and screw holding properties. The paint retention properties are good and it is fairly easily treated with preservatives.

Overall any imperfections can be worked around with a little effort. Accepts either paint or stain well. No major dings or scratches to contend with, do check your boards at the store don’t just grab 6 and run, look at your product and select your boards. For the price a good value for most any project, quality stain can increase overall (take your time applying and sand, sand, sand) look of finished project. For wide boards good selection of quality.
Pros: Multi Use

It is made of wood and is flat on four sides. Can be cut, nailed, screwed, and glued - also can be painted or stained. This was made from a tree, I believe.
Pros: Multi Use, Good Shape
Cons: No Instructions

You can sand it, cut it with a saw and make toys and furniture out of it. This product is NOT waterproof and requires paint to resist water. Expensive power tools are not mentioned as required, but $200 table saw and $100 drill press are pretty much required accessories.

My new drill press and table saw just butchered the heck out of it, but a half-pint of Gorilla glue saved me.
Pros: Stylish
Cons: takes a lot of gorilla glue.
