Before we had our home sided we installed the Dow Super tuff-R sheething and then tyvec over the entire exterior of our home. It was easy to install as was the tyvec. It was installed in early spring of last year.. Living here at the NJ shore, our climate is very windy and either very hot or very cold pending the season.. We saw huge savings on our airconditioner usage this summer, and already, now have began to see heating savings. Its been installed for about 10 months now, and I highly reccomend it to anyone having siding work done..People mention mold issues, and from what we have seen, its just not the case. This stuff is amazing and really tightened up out home, and it wasnt too expensive, and has a very long life...What more could you want?

The 1-3/8 Tuff-R insulation is perfect for filling in between studs run flat on a non bearing wall and does not bulge the drywall like 1/12 insulation does. Cutting should be done from both sides and a regular utility knife only goes halfway through and the fiber reinforcing does not lend itself to the "score and snap" method. Plan on using glue as most staples are not long enough to adequately penetrate the substrate.
Yes, I recommend this product.
