this countertop oven is GREAT!...i have cooked roasts, casseroles and frozen foods in it with great results...there is no need to turn on my big oven now...it is also super easy to use which allows my kids to help me cook...i love it!

As a retired/disabled couple, we have a limited income. This oven helps to reduce our expense of cooking/baking. Our elecric bill is lower by not heating a large oven, and during the summer months, we can cook outside! As long as you don't over stuff the racks you can even bake cookies. You can bake a single layer cake or a loaf cake but, do not use convection for these types of baking, because it will dry out your items before they are done. As for the rotisserie, if your desire is to roast a 4lb. bird, use string to tie its limbs close to its body. 20min. before it is done poke holes into the cavity at the hip joints. This allows for excessive trapped liquids to escape.

The only real problem seems to be with the drip pan. If what you are cooking sheds liquids excessively, it will spill under the pan, causing a mess to clean-up after it cools down.
Cleaning is easy. Just remove all loose parts to wash in sink. For the rest, just use soap and warm water. Glass door can be cleaned with either soap and water or glass cleaner.

This oven barely holds 1- 3lb chichen and thats if you set the drip pan directly on the lower elements(lower elements aren't on during rotissere), states that you can cook 2 pizzas at once but only if you stand there and watch it otherwise they will burn.
And if you have more than 2 people in your family forget making dinner with it. Its just not big enough.
My suggestion is keep looking and you will find something better. This is like an over priced toaster oven.

I`ve only had my convection oven for a short time, and already its earned the price I paid for it, over and over again. Its easy enough for kids to stick in an after school snack, Ive never used a rotesserie before, but this was so easy and oh my how delicious the chicken was. I`m looking forward to using it during the holidays, an extra oven will come in handy. I would definately recommend this oven. It wins hands down.

I was having to turn on my big oven every day, and with the heat outside it was making my house hotter, well i have solve this problem with this oven, now that's all i cook in. This oven cooks cakes and bisquits and cornbread very good and browns evenly.This is one purchase i won't regret and if you buy one you will love it.

When I first purchased this Hamilton Beach product I was just expecting to maybe toast a few buns or bagles. But I quickly discovered that I can do so much more than just toast. My family and I use this oven more than we use our regular convention oven. We bake just about everything in it. It is a great product, and it is very convenient.
