Mailbox is not even close to white - it's tan/light brown.

My poor rating is based solely on the fact that the mailbox we received is decidedly tan, and nowhere near *any* shade of white, as it is pictured on this, and every other site - including the manufacturer's. Even the photo on the box depicts it as being white.
It's a cute mailbox, and I like it, I am just very unhappy to have received a light brown mailbox when I was expecting a white/white-ish one.
On the upside, at least it won't show dirt as badly as white would. But is sure isn't as cute as the white ones pictured.

I could not be happier with my New Mailbox. Its made very durable and a very pretty product. Neighbors have said it looks so nice and even our Mail person loves it.

Mailbox looks very nice. Website doesn't tell you that you need a 48" 4x4 post with this as well. Overall though I'd say the construction on this mailbox seems to be good and not cheap, it comes with a good amount of numbers (4 of each)
And all of the essential hardware except the post. Good box, would buy again

On installation (recently divorced) so I asked my son (23) to put the mail box up and he had some troubles (not sure if it was him or the item). We still have some screws that he has not used. I do not think he put it deep enough into the ground, he some how cracked the green plate at the back covering the post (not sure why it's green) and its a tad too wobbly for me. But general its a beauty and not common. As soon as I find a new man I am going to have him reinstall it (LOL).

I used to get scratches from the 'tin/metal' mailbox. I would wait for my son to come home & ask him to empty the mailbox, but not anymore!

Looks great, the plastic looks like it'll last a lifetime, magnets to open & close the doors work very well, and wasn't too expensive when compared to the really expensive mailboxes. The only reason it's not 5/5 stars is that it doesn't come with a newspaper holder, but the manufacturer doesn't produce them anymore.

This mailbox was worth ordering. Easy to put up and seems really made well. Does not look like everyone else on the block and I like the feature that you can reach in the back without going into the street. My husband put some quick drying cement into the hole, then the post (must purchase separate and available in the store so no need to ship post) and within 2 hours placed the one piece mailbox sleeve over it. Easy, simple and looks great! Would recommend.

This is a great, easy to install mailbox. And since my house has a green shingle roof with green shutters it looks great out front! It took me a little over an hour to install, but only because I had to cut a fresh 4x4 and dig it in prior to putting in the mailbox. If you already have your 4x4 in place,this should take you no longer than 30 mins start to finish. It looks great, and the rear access door is a great convenience. Also, since the mailbox is one solid piece it feels very sturdy. There are magnets on top of each door that keep them closed. Both seem to keep the doors closed securely. Just went through an all day downpour here and everything looks great! Definitely the best mailbox on the block!

The mailbox was already set to go. All I had to do was slide the unit over the existing post and lag bolt it in. I like the fact the you can open the mailbox from the back and do not have to step into the street.

I love the door flap on the back. We live on top of a hill & cars come over the hill quite fast. Now I don't have to stand in the street to get my mail out. Our old mailbox was an eye sore. The new one is so pretty.

This is a unique looking mailbox and stands out from the other boring mailboxes on the street. Have just had it for about a month now so am not sure how it will hold up, but it seems sturdy enough.

I was able to install the mailbox from start to finish in just over an hour. It is sturdy and looks quite nice compared to our old "standard metal" mailbox. Our mailman even left us a note telling us how nice it was!!

Love this mailbox and it is large. Great that you can open from back to keep you off the road. Looks good and all my neighbors are jealous.Don't hesitate to buy it. Easy to install too.
