Product is well designed, and manufactured. It says to have 2 people to assemble, but I found it easy to assemble by myself.
The adjustable shelf for charcoal/wood is great. It makes adjusting the heat source easy, and makes the grill worth the money by itself.
The side burner is a must. It will produce additional heat/smoke, and is good just to BBQ a steak, burgers, etc.. without heating the whole grill.
I love my Char Griller, and would buy another one in a minute.

This is by far the best smoker you'll find in the under $200 category. I have owned a couple of other smokers in the past, and I am always pleased with the performance of this product. When it comes time to replace my current smoker, I will be purchasing another Char Griller. With over a year of use, my Char Griller is showing a bit of wear, but nothing excessive. I tend to have really hot fires in the side fire box, so the paint on the top of the box has burned off a bit, leading to some surface rust. But due to the thick, sturdy construction, this will not be a problem. This is a well-built product, made with quality materials. Buy a Char Griller, you'll be happy you did.

what a great start to this lil gem! took approx 1hr 30min to assemble the next day it cooked jerk chicken and pork for 80 people! then mothers day i smoked six racks of ribs and 8 lbs of chicken breasts! People couldn't believe the flavor! only downside is the far end of the grills temp is lower so about every 20-30 minutes have to rotate for even cooking!

This is an intelligently designed smoker, easy to assemble and at a great price. The adjustable ash pan is ingenious. And the ability to use either the grill and/or smoke box as a charcoal grill is just great! The smoke box is great for grilling when you only have a steak or two.
My only complaint is the lack of a baffle between the smoke box and the grilling/smoking area. The area of the grill closest to the smoke box gets quite hot even when the wood coals are just smoking. You either A) have to move the food frequently, resulting in a loss of smoke and potential cooking time or B) not place food in that area, resulting in a loss of cooking surface.
And that is my ONLY complaint. This thing ROCKS!

This is by far the best grill/smoker I have come accross. The cast iron grates are excellent. I put it together and seasoned it in one afternoon and smoked chicken the next.

The grill is great!!!!! it was a valentines present for my husband whose grill was in very bad shape and maybe had grilled its last steak. He put it all together by himself, even though says 2 people it is possible with one. He is so extrememly happy i couldn't have asked for a better gift. And it cooks...no words so tender and juicy we have yet to smoke somthing but it is only a matter of time.

I bought this item for my husband for Father's Day last year. We used it at least 3-4 days per week all summer. It was great! Plenty of room if you have guests for dinner. Though we only used the sidebox a couple times, it was nice to have it. All in all, I think this is a terrific buy.

We liked the grill overall. We didn't like the wood shelf that sticks out the front. It's too narrow for a plate and it molded quickly from the humidity.

I am a "professional" bar-b-que chef and in my opinion this is the only bar-b-que/smoker for ease of convienence. I smoked 3 briskets the day I purchased this gem and my guest couldn't get enough. And with the side firebox as an added bonus you just cant go wrong. I even cooked 50 hamburgers on it at one time. Search no more, this is the one.

The wife got me one for father's day,I have a trailer mounted
smoker I use for large cook-outs,This little gem is great for a small get to gather.Had a slite problem with the knock-outs for the fire box,other wise it went to gether like a dream.Slooow & Looow

I bought my smoker a few weeks ago and love it!
I have used one of them lil stand up brinkman smokers for years and i admit i was a bit intimidated by the char broil unit for its size and figured it would be a bear to keep a consistent heat but have found it to be rather easy,even easier than the small brinkman i use to own. very easy to assemble even for one person i had no problems putting this beast together and the huge cooking surface is great for grilling burgers and dogs for back yard parties or smoking a large cut of meat for the family to enjoy. im sure i will enjoy my grill for years to come.

I purchased this grill 12-13 years ago and have not regretted the purchase at all. As with anything age is finally getting the best of it. The temp gauge has quit working and rust is causing some problems with the doors. We have been through quite a few grills in the 30 years we've been married but this is by far the best! We will be purchasing another of these grills in the next year.

I got this for my husband for Father's Day..he or rather we couldn't be happier with it..haven't used the side firebox yet for actual smokin', we have cooked chicken, fish, and ribs on charcoal topped with mesquite or hickory chips, works great no need to open grill with dampers slightly open..skin on chicken doesn't burn just time it and turn maybe once..delicious! quality built..I think this smoker/grill is best for someone in the country as the smoke from chips might have the neighbors calling the fire dept. in town..simply the best!

I have had this grill for 2 years now and the thing I like most is the ability to cook alot of food for alot of people, I also hooked up an electric Rotisserie and smoked a Prime rib using the side fire box for the coals and you could cut it with a fork!!! I wish I could add a fire box to the other side to smoke more evenly and have more cooking space. Just about everything I cook on this grill between the smoking options and the flavored wood chips and charcoals out there makes everything tastes like Barbaque foods should.

Great grill! Big enough four our four person family and then some. 29x20 main grill, cooks a whole meal at once. Side fire box is great for an all day smoker. Only peave, a few minor dings,ie: a little less caffeine in the packing dept. But never the less a great grill. Cooking three or four times a week.
