Not standard based bulbs,

"I gave this fan 4 stars because it looks really nice once it was installed. However, I was disappointed because the fan is advertised as having standard/medium based bulbs. This one takes candleabra based bulbs. I had previously purchased 3 other fans for a new house that all had standard sized bulbs. I wanted to be able to buy one kind of bulbs for all light fixtures. This fan was also harder to install than the other less expensive ones we purchased and appears to not be as good of a quality fan as the other Hampton Bay's we bought."

"We bought this fan for the master bedroom. The fan works wonders circulating the air in there...it is very quiet and I think a wonderful buy for the price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something that looks high quality for a great price!"

"This fan looks great in my den. I installed it myself and it was not difficult. I have other Hunter fans and will continue to purchase Hunter products. The only thing I would change about the fan is it would be good to be able to use higher wattage light bulbs (the max is 60 watt bulbs)."

"The Fan is beautiful and is very quiet. One of the lights didn't work when it was installed so I called the company and they are sending one in 7 to 10 days. The great part is that I won't have to have someone come and reinstall it. The light plugs into the fan like it's an outlet. Great, great concept!!!!"

"We purchased this fan just a few months ago and we absolutely love the fan in all aspects. It brings beauty to our home, fits nicely with our decor and does an ideal job of circulating the air in our home. You can adjust the speed to your liking and the lighting with the decorative lamp shades gives our home a warm and welcoming look. It is a very unique style and the blades shape make for a very unusual but beautifully decorative style. We receive nothing but compliments from our family and friends as they enter our home. It catches their eyes immediately as it is in the center of our living room ceiling. Thank you Home Depot!"

"I love this fan. I was really tired of the glass shade look and this one hugs my 8 foot ceilings. It's very quiet and sturdy. Installation was a little more complicated than others I have purchased in the past, but well worth it. I wish the shades came in white though."
