The KILZ 1-Gallon Oil-Based White Original Sealer, Primer and Stain Blocker is suitable for application on most interior surfaces such as furniture, drywall, plaster, woodwork, paneling, wallpaper, masonry, brick, painted metal and properly prepared glossy surfaces. It blocks smoke and water stains, and it seals pet odors. The primer provides an ideal base coat for latex and oil-based paints.

I had great results with this primer on drywall. I tried it out in a hallway and painted with some Behr Premium Plus paint. I wanted to compare it with Behr's drywall primer. I got some great results but be forewarned this primer has a very strong odor that can last for almost 24 hours. You may want to consider the odorless version if the home is occupied. Also, the primer can be a little messy to work with but I'm very satisfied with the results.

Kilz perfect for quick inside projects

I've always thought of Kilz for large projects like exterior painting, but the primer worked perfectly for a quick-fix of our formerly ugly fireplace. I bought one of the smaller cans and the primer covered the thick salmon paint in one coat with no glops. It dried quickly, I painted over it with a colored paint (Behr), and now it's a beautiful focal point!

This product work great. I would reccomend this prouct to anyone. It works wonderful for wood paneling.Alot of people were telling me to just take out the wood paneling and put drywal ,but than I found this product and I could not believe how easy it is ,all you have to do is put one or two coets of the primer and its ready to put on the paint.

My Favorite Primer

I've used the Original Kilz for years and it is my favorite primer-sealer-stainblocker. It goes on easily with a brush or roller and it lasts. Beats the more expensive primers by a mile.
