My husband and I researched dishwashers within our price range and our needs. This one was perfect. We did not want anything fancy just the basics and I liked the sanitizing option and this has it all. The tubs hold a lot. We tested it left some dried small food particles on silverware and dishes and with amazement it cleaned them to a tee! Yes its plastic inside, but easier to keep clean in my opinion than stainless, figured old DW were all plastic in the past and they were just fine. Hubby installed it himself and it was failrly easy, instructions were easy to read and follow. We purchased black and it looks very nice in our kitchen, not to fancy, but yet a touch of class. Our last dishwasher was Maytag and it was very old, came w/the house so at least 11 yrs old, it lasted, but we chose to replace it with a newer model and are very happy with our choice. Don't let this one fool you with the price, it at one time cost almost $400, it just may not be a 2009 model!

I bought this Maytag dishwasher on-line recently, replacing my 20 yr.old machine. Was a little disappointed to see that it was all plastic. But after using it, I'm not at all disappointed in the performance. It has a lot of features that my old one didn't have. It's quiet, lots of space inside and the racks slide in and out very smoothly. Great price!

When I was looking for a dishwasher to replace my broken one, I wanted the cheapest dishwasher which would do the basic job - wash dishes. I am happy that I bought this one. Very spacious - the top rack has enough height for high bowls and the bottom rack can carry some deep vessels too.
Very quiet and even has a sanitize function.

I bought this dishwasher, i didnt want the cheapest but could not afford the best. So i bought mid-grade. Never again that frase you get what you pay for is sooo true. It works ok, the problem is that every piece is cheap plastic. the only thing metal is the screws. It just does not seem very well built and i expect it not to last. The racks dont slide in smooth they are always getting hung up. I thought maytag made a good product but i guess only if you spend 1000 dollars.

Love this machine, quite & gets almost everything clean, except avacadoes off dishes. The problem is that it is very expensive to repair. Got a quote of $400+ to replace the mother board & keys when the dial pad stopped working just shy of 3years old. I thought I was getting a great dishwasher since we had installed this item at our previous house & it outlasted us. Repair man says to get star washers w/ turn dials but all the reviews say they are really loud & finicky w/ the dial on the start option. So opted to get the one I love & just get it insured. Cheaper to get a new one then repair the old one what a waste & burden on our landfields.

Nice and quiet, good design and great price. I agree that bottom fill plate sits too far back and leaves much too empty a space under door, but easy to use and quiet, quite, quiet!!! Love it!

We define us as light user, 1~2 times/week, so, we do not want put too much bucks on it. we purchase this one because of two reasons:
1) Relative low price tag
2) Quiet, from other reviews.
And we got what we want! works well quietly.

Great product! Deep racks with graduated rack on the top for all size glasses. Holds lots of dishes. It cleans very well even if the dishes have not been rinsed prior to loading. Very very quiet...best dishwasher we've ever had.

It's simplistic and quiet. She didn't need all the options that some have. It looks nice and washes well. I like the fact that you can adjust the rinse agent to match your water hardness. She has hard water. We like Maytag. Great product.

My new dishwasher is "Great" it is soundless. Have used it only 2x since I got it hooked up last Wednesday, 4/8. No complains. Followed the instructions of the putting the cleaning stuff. I'm enjoying the look and the function of my new dishwasher. Thank you,

Still an OK purchase.
It is louder than expected but cleans quite well.
We have used the packs, tabs, and liquids and all work just as well as the other.
The only problem we had was once a cup handle was turned wrong and kept the top rack from closing all the way.
And if the door will not close, the dishwasher does not work.
The handle was pressing against one of the roller wheels, holding the rack out an almost an inperceavable amount.
So the rack looked in place, but it was not......by a cup handle width it was not.
I repositioned the cup and all is now as well as it ever was!!!!
Great machine for the money!!!!!

Ok,
We replaced a 16 year old INSINKERATOR machine with this one.
And its sooooo much better. As well it should be! HA HA.
This unit is quieter than the old one but yet not as quiet as we hoped for. But considering the price we are happy.
Dishes all come out great and we have used Gel , and another time the pacs. Both work just fine and equally well.
Really a good choice for the money you spend.
We replaced a 16 year old INSINKERATOR machine with this one.

Purchased this dishwasher in September of '07 and absolutely LOVE it! Not wanting to spend a lot on a dishwasher because I live in a condo, I liked the features this one had...they are features found on more expensive models. I still find myself pre-rinsing, but am trying to break myself of that habit, and so far, it can handle it! To me it is a very quiet running dishwasher, and I LOVE the timer on it. I laughed at that feature when I saw it, but it REALLY is useful! I always forget to start the thing if I don't want to run it right away, so I set it for a 2 hour delay and they are done!

The only thing I do not like about this dishwasher is the silverware holder in the bottom rack. I prefer them in the door so I can run more dishes at a time. The sales rep didn't seem to think it would make much of a difference but it does since it is in the front middle of the rack. Would have been better to the side. The models with them in the door are so much nicer when you have a family to clean up after. I wish I had went with the cheaper model that had it but live and learn!
Other than that, this has done a great job cleaning the dishes. I have intentionally left some messes on the pots to see if it will get them clean and it's not been a problem!
I also really like the black. It doesn't show fingerprints or marks as easy as the white.
I would have no problem recommending this to a friend or family member and the price is good!

I am very happy with this product and it's performance to date. The store employees were very helpful and made sure we had eveything we would need before we left the store. With this dishwasher I do not have to make sure my dishs are spotless before they go in because they always come out perfect. I have 2 small children so we use many sippy cups and the basket for the top rack works great for the lids and stoppers. Everything I need to wash fits and I haven't found any of my dishes to be too tall. I would definately recommend this dishwasher to anyone who asks.

I am very pleased with this dishwasher. It was very easy to install by myself, as most are. But It's about time I can put in dishes without prewashing them.
It has average space for dishes, and the little extras inside the racks are great to use and easy to remove when needed.
It's not super quiet when running but it's not too loud either. I am happy with this one for sure.
