One of the last remaining quality Maytags,
November 16, 2009

"This dishwasher is great. One of the last true Maytags. Newer models are just Whirlpools with the Maytag name slapped on. Since Whirlpool bought Maytag, models like this one are being phased out. Buy it now while you can."

"This dishwasher is pretty. And Pretty quiet.
But the tub is pretty small. That so far is the only down fall. I put dishes in it with out scrubbing them first ... just rinseing them slightly and they came out clean... YEA!

Might only last one year,
December 31, 2008
By lehcherry

"I own rentals so I buy a lot of appliances. About 50% of the time this dishwasher only lasts one year or just beyond the one year mark. I had the same problems that the last reviewer had. But I am not saying you should not buy it because I have only have marginally better results with the higher priced units. If you are looking for your home and want something that will last, you will have to go top of the line no matter the brand. I have had slightly better results with GE's low end dishwashers and so that is what I buy now. GE's dishwasher tend to have problems around the one year mark but they tend to be smaller problems that warrant repair."

Died after 18 months,
November 16, 2008
By abc1234
"This unit works well at cleaning, but is far from quiet.
After about a year and a half some of the panel lights stopped working. Shortly after that it refused to start.
The cost to fix it is almost as much as a new unit.
Maytag machines used to be good quality but this one didn't even amke it two years.
Last Maytag I ever buy!"

AWESOME,
March 23, 2008

"I did SO much research while trying to decide on a new dishwasher. I am so glad I purchased this model.
The guy who "flipped" the house to me had installed a new Americana (GE) Dishwasher that he paid 200 bucks for at Home Depot, and it was truly utter garbage.
This dishwasher rocks. Everything comes out clean and spotless... no dried food or detergent residue. There are 3 wash arms: one at the bottom, one below the top rack (that sprays up and down onto BOTH racks), and one at the top. The multi-leveled top rack is great... there are some deep areas for larger items (a lot of dishwashers don't let you put larger items on top).
The additonal "sanitize" feature ensures that the temperature is hot enough to sanitize everything... and it makes me feel great :)
The stainless looks great, too.
I was amazed that something that works this well and looks this good was so inexpensive (especially compared to other high-quality dishwashers). I highly recommend it."

love it,

"I have only had the dishwasher for about a week. I replaced my other dishwasher because the wireing caught fire (check yours for recalls). So far I love this appliance. This dishwasher cleanes very well, It has even removed all of the whitish build up my old dishwasher left on my dishes, the heated dry works better than my old one, but does not dry 100%, has plenty of room, even for tall items, and is pretty quiet, I can only hear it if I go within about 6ft of it, (could be even quieter if I had wrapped it with a $20.00 water heater blacket, because more insulation and about $100.00 is the only differance between this one and the quieter models) I like that it's its simple, but still has the features I wanted."

Very Quiet,
October 13, 2007
By BayArea
from Concord, CA
"This dishwasher is a huge improvement over my previous dishwasher. First of all, it's so quiet that you can hardly tell it's even on. I have only two complaints about this dishwasher.
1. The bottom rack comes off track way too easily.
2. The door doesn't open and close as smoothly as some other models.
I would also like the dishwasher to tell me how many minutes are left, or at least what cycle it's on. However, for this price, I guess you sacrifice some features. Overall, this is a great dishwasher.

"I've had no issues with this dishwasher since purchasing it in February. It cleans well, it's relatively quiet, and fairly easy to maintain. It's a great option for someone who wants stainless but doesn't want to spend $600!"

"We just recently purchased this Maytag dishwasher and we're very happy we did. It's quiet, you don't even know it's turned on. The push button features in the front are very easy to use."

motor broke after only 18 months,
March 12, 2007
By jrhabi
from St. Louis
"After 18 months the motor and pump assembly broke. It is covered under warrantee, but must pay for diagnostic ($80) then labor to repair ($150). That's more than half of what I paid for it. Plus it was not as quit as it should have been, Quiet series model."

Quiet Elegance and Quality,
November 19, 2006
By ginnyQ

"I love the look of this Maytag dishwasher and the price is great. It has enough capacity for large platers and pans and loading is a snap.
We have large family gatherings and my holiday china is safe in this dishwasher. The control lockout is very desirable for little, curious fingers.
What more can I say, style, function, roomy and quiet, quiet, quiet!, with a great price to boot.
