Installation kit (plastic bolts) included has very limited use. Ended up getting stainless steel self-drilling screws for more secure mounting.

two of my shutters blew off in Sandy--they were 30yrs old--this was the closest replacement I could find--although the quality is less you can't tell the difference when looking at the house--we had another noreaster and these shutters stayed put--the only difference is the style on top of the shutter is arched where my old ones were straight--couldn't find my original style but again you can't tell unless you're looking

We recently ordered 3 sets of the black louvered shutters and are very pleased with not only the way the shutters look, but also with the ease of installation. The directions were simple, all pieces were included and now we have added some spunk to our purely white home.

I found the product to be well made, easy to install and they look great. I had wooden shutters before and had a lot of problems.
These install with provided hardened plastic shutter locks. No rusting of screws or nails.

Excellent color and texture. Installation was easy and the included fasteners were color-matched to the shutters, which made them preferable to standard screws. Only time will tell about the fade factor but my initial impression was very favorable.

So easy to install.i am 8 months pregnant and helped hubby install them in no time. Prob more difficult if u have stone or brick face but worth the effort. Completely transformed the look of the house. Love it!

I am completely happy with the entire experience. I ordered the shutters online; they arrived when they were supposed to arrive. Installation was easy; my daughter-in-law installed them for me while I was at work. (In case you are wondering, she had never done this before . .it really is that easy.) We have had neighbors stop by to tell us how great they look and a friend asked where I got them because he wanted to buy some. The price was very good; I shop around before buying most things, so I know a good buy.

Great product and great experience. Shutters arrived in about 5 days. I needed to reorder half of the shutters because I didn't realize the second floor shutters were shorter than the ground floor shutters. The return process was easy and the old and new shutters all arrived in great shape. Installation required a little finese with drilling holes at the same level as the mortor lines. Using a hammer drill made the drilling easy. Getting the old shutters off was probably harder than installing the new shutters. Each package of two shutters came with a bag of plastic anchors. Each bag had an extra anchor. The new shutters are an incredible improvement over the old shutters.

I didn't even install them, they seemed so flimsy. Color selected was Forrest Green, but there was too much blue in it to match up with Forrest Green trim. No problem getting full refund from store.

These shutters come with plastics screws and you must drill holes into the shutters where they are to fit. I hope with the wind and cold weather they will not break. The shutters are made of thin plastic which causes them to bow a bit against my siding. They were on the low end of cost so you get what you pay for!

The product is great, and no complaints with store. However I ordered the wrong size but decided to install them anyway. A flower box between the two shutters on the bottom where they extend over, will look great.

look great, all sets of my shutters didn't arrive, had to wait an additional week and a half for others to arrive, missing pack of screws, look great but cheap fasteners, drill holes deep enough because you won't get the screws back out if you don't

I like this product because the color is molded in. This gives it a nice consistent coloration that you don't have to worry about scratching as you install them. The shipping turnaround was fantastic as well. I placed an order on a Friday afternoon and they were sitting at my door the following Wednesday.
My only dislike is the shutterloks. Since I was replacing 13 pairs of shutters I wanted to make sure to use the pre-existing holes. The majority went well but if you bend a shutterlok you have no choice but to cut it out and use a screw instead. Most were strong enough but about 7 out of the 156 used seemed weaker than the others. This becomes a problem when you make a mistake with one.
An improvement would be to include one extra shutterlok per pair of shingles, or one extra for every two pairs purchased.

Easy to install, just follow instructions. i advise purchasing at least one extra package of fasteners; one set of shutters was short one fastener (no fault of Home Depot). Also, they are not reusable if you make a mistake. As a contractor, I prefer this mounting system over screws, eventually screws always loosen and rust.
