Another amazing product from LG,

"Wow. If your in the market for a new dishwasher then by all means take a long serious look at this LG model. We've had ours now for just about 2 months and are still amazed by how quiet this unit operates. We'll have to look and check for the function lights to see if its on. Our kitchen opens to our family room and our old GE model was so loud we'd have to turn up the tv volume.
This LG has twice the capacity, 3 cleaning arms, adjustable racks, wine glass holders that fold away when not in use, and many features we haven't even tried yet. I love the sanitary rinse option and the adjustable spray feature (strong, med. soft). It has a power scrub feature and I haven't found anything it can't get clean.
I love the upper or lower half load feature that allows you to wash a partial load.
The digital readout shows time remaining and the dishwasher has these lovely begining & end of cycle chimes.

This product is a winner. I don't think you could find a better dishwasher at this price. We are very happy with this purchase .

do not buy this dishwasher,

"Hind sight is 20/20. If I had read the reviews at various sites I
never would have bought the LDS5811WW. It is quiet but now
I sit without a working dishwasher for 7 weeks and parts are
still be ordered and installed to no avail. New motor installed
1/4/08 did not solve problem. Today is 1/10/08 and someone is
coming out to look at it again. When your machine flashes the
code LE save yourself time and drag the machine to the curb
for refuse pick up and buy another brand."

"Unlike the other reviewers which all just bought this dishwasher recently we have had it for a few years and can teel you about our ownership issues. We have problems under both the original and now still have problems under the extended warranty. The problem is the fact that we have had the unit stop working and now it leaks all the time. The really terrible thing is that the warranties are a joke because their are so few people that service these machines. So we sit 2 months now in The Tampa, Florida area without a working dishwasher with no end in sight. I think you should choose another brand and I think you should not buy the extended warranty. Good Luck."

Thrilled with this LG dishwasher!,

"I have owned this dishwasher for one month, and can sum up my experience with this appliance in 4 words "I Love This Dishwasher"!!! After exhaustive research I chose this LG because of its price, quietness and features. I have not been disappointed! This LG is extremely quiet, much more quiet than my previous top of the line KitchenAid. And my dishes simply sparkle. I even trust my Waterford crystal in this dishwasher - something I have NEVER done in the past 30 years. The interior capacity is large, and very easy to load. Other reviews regarding its dryiing deficiencies worried me, but I have found this dishwasher does better than any other dishwasher I've owned in that respect. I think it is partly because the tines are cleverly sloped so that cups, bowls, etc sit slightly slanted and the excess water drains off. I have found no faults with this dishwasher whatsoever, and must say I am thrilled!"

"We purchased this dishwasher 3 months ago and have discovered the customer support division of LG Electronics is actually open 24 hours a day. The local repair company has been responsive and helpful, too. Although this dishwasher has been a lemon, Home Depot is now committed to replacing the dishwasher after giving them the documentaion. We've been very satisfied with this model - it's very quiet, has the adjustable racks and fold down times we wanted, glassware comes out sparkling, and it holds my big pans and platters. So we've decided to stick with this model. I would definnitly recommend this dishwasher and Home Depot."

LG Electronics Semi-Integrated White Dishwasher,

"My wife and I purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot about two months ago on strong recommendation from the Home Depot sales staff. We were looking for a quiet machine to replace our 15 year old, noisy, GE Potscrubber dishwasher. We believe after two months of bliss that we made the right purchase.
The unit has a relatively large interior, loads of useable features accessable by pushbutton on the top-front panel and extremely quiet operation. The Home Depot sales person that helped us had himself previously purchased the same model for his personal use and told us that the machine ran "library quiet". We agree, it is that quiet.
We highly recommend this unit to anybody looking for an up-scale replacement of an aging machine that is very quiet in its operation. We are very pleased with the purchase."
