"Purchased this online in Nov 09 delivered at end of Nov 09 direct delivery from GE; this refrigerator should have been rated energy efficient as it replaced a smaller unit that used over 2KWH per day and I have a watt meter on it and this unit is quieter, colder, less moister in frig, AND it uses less than 900watts a day of electric, purchased the optional GE 4 year policy (recommended because the factory warranty of 1 year is really bad) also saved on the policy which from GE direct would have been $118 for 3 years but from Home Depot online it was only $99 for FOUR years plus the factory 1 year warranty. Colder, Quieter, Cheaper to Run. Good Deal."

"i bought this fridge 2 weeks ago.. and i may say.. by far the best fridge ever.. as soon as it was plug in.. it got really cold right away with in 20- 30minutes.. i love GE .. i recommend getting this fridge for a friend especially to those who are first time buyers..im so happy with my purchase.. thanks alot.."

"I recently purchased this refrigerator for my mountain home. I am very pleased with the size and inside features, such as wide shelves on the door. The only problem I had/have is how noisey it is. I'm not sure if I would purchase it for my full-time home due to this noise. I did have GE come out and look at it, and they said it was normal. I would still buy this product again in a minute."

"This is an EXCELLENT buy!! This Fridge arrived quickly in PERFECT condition. It's roomy inside, and the gallon-door shelf was an AWESOME idea!! It reached 38 degrees in no time, and runs very little to maintain that temp. It IS a little on the noisy side at first, but gets better after it runs for awhile. I am TRULY PLEASED with the EASE, SPEED, and CONVENIENCE of buying ONLINE, the professionalism of the delivery/haul-away folks, and I am VERY, VERY HAPPY with MY NEW REFRIGERATOR!! "I was surprised at how quiet this unit runs. I keep the cold setting at only number 4 and it still keeps ice cream just right for dipping, not too hard. I got it at the local store for $400 plus tax, a good deal for what I got.
I really liked the delivery service and take away of the old frige. They even had to carry it up to my second floor condo."

"Refrigerator is adequate. Bought for a spare on the porch in Florida. Within 2 weeks lost everything in the freezer 2 times. BEWARE: when you push the bottom door closed quickly, pressure pops open the freezer door! Kids don't realize it and I didn't for a while. Door cracked 1" in Florida outside, everything thaws out quickly. Went back to Home Depot and got a child-proof plastic lock for the freezer door. Once boys got used to the child lock, no problems. Also, don't understand how small flies get into the refrigerator --door not open either.
Cools and freezes fine. Air flow in the freezer isn't the best design. Lots of space though and so far good value. Didn't buy insurance. My philosophy is I won't consider this brand again if it goes bad although most made by Whirlpool anyway."

"We bought this refrigerator for our basement kitchen online without looking at it in the store, but Home Depot made the purchase, delivery and pickup of our old unit so easy. The glass shelves are easy to clean and the ice maker keeps up with the supply demand. The freezer has plenty of space, even with the icemaker. The door has plenty of storage for tall bottles. This product is a win-win for us as a second refrigerator in our home. Thanks Home Depot!"

A Cheap Refrigerator,

"I have had this refrigerator for just over a year. I just paid for it, I got it on 12 months no interest and I waited to pay. You get what you pay for with this refrigerator. If you are looking for a cheap one, this is exactly that. Despite having 2 of them in the course of the year (first one dented on delivery), they both worked basically the same. This is a very loud appliance. I can hear it come on in the other end of the house. This is a 3 person family and it is about the right size, however it doesn't keep an even cooling. Sometimes there is so much frost and ice on the bottom of the freezer that when I open the door it is like a blizzard. Other times I open the freezer and everything is wet. The refrigertor drips water from the area where the freezer vents into it. Things on the top shelf often have puddles of water on them. As far as the outside, this appliance scrates and dents very easily. I moved it to mop under it and barely touched the counter with it and it dented. Also, the white handle has to be washed every single day or it shows fingerprints. In the year that I have had it, the plastic strips around the edge (about 3" long each) have come off and I have had to glue them back on. I would recommend this if you are unable to rent an appliance, however it works about as good as your grandmother's ice box that you put the ice chunk in the bottom. Not very efficient either. I notice no difference in my electric use. Unfortunately, If I had to do over and didn't need one immediately, I wouild have upgraded. I do not recommed this at all."

NOISY AND FLIMSY FRIDGE,

"AFTER HAVING THIS FRIDGE FOR APPROX. 2 MONTHS IT'S BECOMING MORE ANNOYING EVERYDAY. DON'T GET ME WRONG, IT KEEPS THE FOOD VERY COLD AND FROZEN. HOWEVER, THIS FRIDGE HAS A VERY LOUD FAN NOISE (NOT DEFECTIVE BUT JUST A SWISHING NOISE MOVING THE AIR AROUND). YOU DEFINITELY KNOW WHEN IT'S RUNNING. WHEN I'M IN THE LIVING ROOM AND TALKING TO MY WIFE IN THE KITCHEN I HAVE TO YELL SO SHE CAN HEAR WHAT I'M SAYING.
ALSO, THE DRAWS ARE VERY FLIMSY. ANOTHER THING IS THAT WHEN PUTTING 2 LITER UNOPENED SODA BOTTLES ON THE DOOR THEY FALL OVER BECAUSE THE SHELVES ARE VERY SOFT PLASTIC.

"We purchased model refrigerator for our cabin and have been very pleased. The exterior and interior are easy to clean and the glass shelving lets you see exactly what is in each drawer. The door racks hold all sorts of bottles, cans, and jugs. The grandkids love being able to get right in for a juice box and then run back out. No searching grandma!
I also have to say ordering over the internet, scheduling the delivery, and Home Depot getting this to us exactly when they said they would made this whole experience an even better one. Two gentlemen delivered our refrigerator right on time and were very thoughtful.
I can honestly say that I recommend this particular refrigerator and Home Depot!"
