This GE 30 in. Built-In Gas Cooktop offers responsiveness, even heating and customized control for preparing a variety of foods. Three all-purpose burners deliver 9,500 BTUs of cooking power, while a dedicated fourth burner provides a low setting of 140 degrees that's ideal for delicate foods. We lost our home in a flood in Nashville in May 2010. We had a complete rebuild in new home construction. This model was not as expensive as the GE profile I lost, but I LOVE IT more. My other cooktop was stainless and a Bear to clean. This model is easy to clean and operates wonderfully. Highly recommend! Great product for the price.

This product was easy to switch out with my electric cooktop which just slipped right into the slot in my counter top- I did have to hire someone to install the gasline prior to installation. Cooktop looks great, cook great and is easy to clean. Good price point for the products available.

We looked at much higher priced models and love our choice. Easy to clean and good looking. The 4 burners provide all the range of cooking flames that we need, and we cook a lot.

Easy to install. Fit into pre-existing counter space. I am very pleased with the single construction eye grates. Makes for safer cooking as pans don't tip as they are moved from one eye to the next. I like the electronic ingnition, eliminating the constant burning of a pilot light.

I like the way the grates over the burners cover the entire cooking surface so it is easy to slide pots from one burner to the other. I also like the numbered dials for better control over cooking temperatures. There is one burner for simmering which I haven't had occasion to use yet.
The cooktop was on sale when I purchased it which made the cooktop an even better value at Home Depot.

Out of the box, this stove had a broken knob/mechanism (they're very low quality). Also, the iron grates on top are thin and have very little support. They quickly warp, becoming unlevel with heat and heavy pots/pans. This makes oil pool on one end of the pan, rendering them relatively useless. There is no fixing this flaw (unless you can weld), so I hope you only plan on boiling water. Extremely poor design and quality control.
