Stainless steel as described, but wished it would have been welded throughout and not just spot welded in strategic places just enough to hold the joins together.
Pros: Good Size & Weight
Cons: Leaks

I have been mudding for 3 years. love this pan. spot weld allows perfect corners to clean pan with 6 in knife... other pan at depot has welded corners and it is not as clean. stiff metal is durable and does not bend easily. top performing pan in my opinion, as good as any others I've seen, and a good price.

This feels much better than the plastic counterpart and works much better too, but do not drop it. It will dent. Spend the extra $$ and get this one and take care of it. It will last a long time.

Good quality mud pan made with thin, but sturdy stainless steel that doesn't flex easily. Not too heavy and easy to hold. However, you might consider getting a cheaper, plastic mud pan if you only plan of limited usage.
