This feels much better than the plastic counterpart and works much better too, but do not drop it. It will dent. Spend the extra $$ and get this one and take care of it. It will last a long time.

Good quality mud pan made with thin, but sturdy stainless steel that doesn't flex easily. Not too heavy and easy to hold. However, you might consider getting a cheaper, plastic mud pan if you only plan of limited usage.

I do not use a mud pan vary often but one is great for my project and it can be used for other things as well.
