Almost perfect

I particularly like the bike lift because it takes the bike up and off the floor without requiring you to physically lift the bike. Finding a place to hang the bike may be difficult around cabinets and shelves or in smaller garages.
It often takes 2 people to store the bike in our garage since ours in anchored over a workbench. One person has to hold the hooks in place on the bike while the other pulls the ropes and anchors it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
Easy to put up (less than 15 minutes) and use. My only issue was the screws stripped and I used others. I recommend to just start with different wood screws or drill pilot holes. I have actually used 2, one for a bike and the other for a ladder. For the ladder, just bend out the hooks outward and hook them in the between the legs of the ladder.

Why do may use there garage for many of their unwanted or rarely used possessions? Because it is simple it just seems to work out that way. But the Bike lift that Home Depot has to offer is even simpler! IT IS AN ESSENTIAL IN GARAGE ORGANIZATION. And importantly once you have one you can walk in the garage again and not trip over any bikes.

I
purchased this bikerack because we had no room to store the bike in our
garage.
It was easy to install and works perfectly. It now hangs out of the way
of our vehicles and is easy to get down when we want it. Can be
installed on a finished ceiling as well as rafters. Sturdy rope and
pulley system makes getting the bike up or down easy.

Great idea for easy access and storage

This lift makes it easy to access the bike and quickly storing it without needing to figure out how to balance a bike over your head.
Once I had the drill attachement for rachet set. This life went up in about an hour. It would probably of went faster if I had not been drinking beer and had friends over at the time of installation.

Helps un-clutter my garage

This bike lift works great for me. It was fairly simple to install and was done in under a half hour. The lift is easy to use and makes lifting and lowering the bike a simple task. I have a 10 foot ceiling in my garage and I have plenty of room underneath the bikes to walk. You'll like clearing some floorspace in your garage.

The screws provided with the Bike Lift had a tendency to strip. You should pre-drill a small hole the length of the screw to ease in instalation.
