The Victor PestChaser rodent repellent emits high frequency sound waves that effectively repel rodents from protected areas. For use in average-sized rooms, kitchens, garages, attics and basements. The sound is completely inaudible to people and non-rodent pets. Varying intensity and frequencies of ultrasonic sound waves prevents rodents from getting used to the Victor Sonic PestChaser rodent repellent. Since the sound is inaudible, a red LED light tells you the unit is working properly. It's kinder than traps, safer than poisons, and there are no dead rodents to dispose of so it minimizes human contact with mice, rats, and other disease-bearing rodents. Reduction in rodent activity should occur within 6-10 days. Estimated service life of the unit is 5-7 years or more. Note: Ultrasonic sound cannot penetrate furniture, cabinets or walls. Multiple units required for multiple rooms.

I was a little concerned when the product directions mentioned that the sound doesn't go between walls, as that is where the little critters always end up in my house. They sneak in through small crevices in the garage and I hear them in the walls and between ceiling/floor above. I installed 4 units...2 in the garage and 2 in the rooms adjacent to the garage and since then, I haven't heard any critters.

Review 2 for PestChaser Sonic Rodent Repellents (2-Pack)
I'm a bit leary about posting how well these have worked for me but I feel I need to share how well they work to fellow sufferers of rodent problems. I installed these in every room in my small apartment and they worked after about 2 weeks! I was amazed that the mice were gone! I used to have them in every room and see them all the time! Now I think I hear one sometimes but I have yet to see any mice 2 months into using them. I even left some bread sitting out in my kitchen to test and see if they were really gone. I can't believe how well these worked and I'm also glad I didn't have to kill a single mouse to get rid of them! They're a great humane way of getting rid of mice! The only down side for some may be the slight noise they emit. As I live in the city and use a noise maker 24/7 I don't hear it but if you live in the country and are used to silence they may slightly bother you. I find the sound to be a higher pitched white noise but is barely audible.

Review 3 for PestChaser Sonic Rodent Repellents (2-Pack)
i purchased this product and i am very disappointed, the packaging at home depot contained 3 repellants per pk, i purchased 2 pkgs, 3 rooms, two reps in each room, well needless to say, they made a lot of noise which eventually subsided, but they dont rid mice. the search continues....i do not recommend this product.

Review 4 for PestChaser Sonic Rodent Repellents (2-Pack)
I bought this product because I heard squirrels in my attic and needed solutions NOW. I installed two in the attic, one in the garage, one in the laundry room, one in the kitchen, and one in one of the bedrooms. I haven't heard any squirrel activity nor seen any evidence of rodents at all since instillation. It's only been a few days, but I'm definitely keeping them plugged in as the temperature drops.
Pros: Easy to Install

No, I do not recommend this product.
I have feed in my front 3x3 foot vestibule and plugged in a pest control. I opened the front door to see how it was working - THREE rats ran out. Wish I had saved the packaging and receipt.

Review 6 for PestChaser Sonic Rodent Repellents (2-Pack)
i bought a bunch of these to "humanely" repel the mice that were sneaking in from the cold. not only did they not work, i think the mice were dancing to them. then, they treated the poison pellets i resorted to like a salad bar. big mouse party at our house! i went back to the unhumane but foolproof victor traps. no more mice. this product is definitely not the fabled "better mouse trap."

I apologize that you had a poor experience with this product. I have reached out to the manufacturer for more information and below is their response to you:
"Placement is an important factor with the success of this product. The Victor® Sonic PestChaser® Ultrasonic Rodent Repellent should be installed in open areas to allow the sound waves to travel into the room. Also, please keep in mind that rodents are able to tolerate unpleasant changes to their environment for short amounts of time, so it can take up to 6-10 days before a seeing a noticeable decrease in activity.
We hope this information helps. Above all, we want to ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase. Please do not hesitate to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-5-VICTOR (1-855-584-2867) for additional assistance."
