Best Grill I ever had!,
November 20, 2006
By MyrtleBeachRick
from Myrtle Beach, SC
"This thing took us only about 3 hours to assemble!
I was impressed how, unlike many other things I've had to put together, the instructions were simple and precise and everything fit like a glove!
I thought I was going to have to put it someplace where I could also install a light but the rotisserie light is very bright and it can be operated independent of the rotisserie motor.
The granite counter is beautiful and the faux stone is so real looking that we've already started adding flagstone walkways and garden borders in our backyard to match the grill!
To protect our grill, I ordered a custom fit cover. We plan on adding all of the available matching accessories as well.
Our "indoor" kitchen is getting very little use these days!

"very poorly boxed, came cracked in some areas where the "faux" stone was. First time we used it the PLASTIC knobs on the front melted. Very chap and not worth the money, don't waste your time.
Also started seeing rust spots on the stainless less than a week after having it outside."

Gas Grill Island Kitchen,
January 29, 2007
By Jungelman
from Houston, Tx
"It was easy to put together with my wife. The granite tops are very good quality. The burners are very efficient although if anything I have to keep the controls on low to not overcook. The temps can easily top 500 degrees on low setting if all four burners are being used. If you disconnect the tank and use the shut off valve after each use (new guidelines with propane tanks) you should be able to keep the grill at 400 degrees on low settings. Otherwise it gets over 600 and will burn very quickly unless babysitting the food over the grill. I like to be able to abandon the food for 5-10 minutes while swimming or going inside so lower settings work better for me."

Looks Great, Works Great, 3 Hours to Build,
June 25, 2006
By FloridaFrank

"This grill island always generates "Wow!" comments from my guests. The real GRANITE counter tops are very high quality and the whole thing is just impressive!
My "building" experience consists of having once assembled five pieces of office furniture, but the grill and one side square unit took me only about 3 hours to put together. That includes the time to modify the side unit to accomodate a small refrigerator.
I would like to be able to tell you that this project is your excuse to buy that 18 volt cordless drill/drive you've been coveting, but you don't need it. You could, however, justify buying a new pocket knife to work through the miles of plastic tape and wrap that holds everything together. A sharp knife is the only tool you need that is not included.
The assembly manual takes you through all of the steps with good illustrations and no strange instructions. Hint: They do not tell you to position the gas hoses BEFORE you put in the side burner and the grill. Get them positioned before you slide in the units and avoid a do-over!
We chose to slide a Home Depot-purchased Magic Chef 1.7 cu ft. refrigerator into the side island. I put two layers of 2x4s for spacing in the bottom before lowering the refrigerator into place. I had to use my (Home Depot purchased) Dremel tool to grind off one door stop tab on the top of the doorframe so the refrigerator door can open. The refrigerator door only opens about 90%, but it works fine.
On the bottom line, this is a great good-looking product. Highly recommended!"

"This is a great product for the money. Ease of use and maintenance. The best part is the ability to move and the pull out gas tank storage tray."
