"My old roommate had this fan. I bought it because I noticed how quiet and effective it was at cooling. I've had the fan for a little over a week and it does a great job. My condo has no insulation, has a flat roof and gets morning and afternoon sun...so it can get be in the 90's inside on the hottest days. Although the fan doesn't lower the temperature immediately, it definitely makes it cooler.
It was very easy to assemble...took me all of five minutes. Instructions were easy to understand.
My only concern is whether or not the remote works. The package included batteries. When I put them in the remote, it wouldn't work. I need to buy new batteries before I can tell if it is the remote or batteries."

"Gentle Breeze. Timer keeps from wasting electricity as I forget to turn it off from time to time. It does use a lot of electricity. I can't tell what the ionizer does, so I assume it works."

"I love this Lasko Tower Fan. It is a great relief in this summer heat. The little blue LED light is perfect as a nitelight. I like that I can set the timer to swtich the fan off after I'm asleep. In fact, I am going to buy 2 more of these terrific fans!"

"I got this fan for my bedroom just in time for the summer heat in Los Angeles. It works like a charm - strong but silent! Also, I love the remote control feature. It allows me to control my fan speed, oscillation, the ionizer and the on off speed without having to get out of bed at night! 5 star rating - definitely a good buy."

"What I like about the fan is it's easy to set up using only a screwdriver. It moves a lot air and is very quiet even on high speed. The remote works from across the room.
What I dislike about it is the bright blue LED for the Ionizer which lights up my bedroom at night.
Improvements: Would be nice to have multiple breeze modes."
