1st one a dud,
December 5, 2009
"1st one sent lasted a day in the custom enclosure on low just died with no warning.
Home Depots handling of the problem was noteworthy. They promptly sent me a return ship tag (prepaid).
2nd one still hasn't arrived , perhaps I will update y'all if I get the chance."

Lasko 16 inch reversible fan,
September 26, 2009
"Quiet at low speed. Moves a goodly volume of air. We don't use airconditioning, just a combination of three 16 inch reversible fans. Two of these are Lasko fans, and they do an excellent job. To quiet the fan and help position it firmly, I use a spring curtain rod across the top.
A bit noisy at higher speeds.
The control needs to be more clearly marked so it is readily visible.
When installing, meaurements and mounting allow almost no room for error.
Overall a good value."

Works great but looks tacky,
July 21, 2009
"I needed something more powerful than the twin fan models that seem to be the only intake/exhaust options available in stores now. It certainly pushes more air, but my teenage sons of all people said it was too tacky! It is huge, and because the window can shut behind it, the bulk of it protrudes too much into the living space, looking like a big one-eyed monster. It definitely works well, but I wouldn't recommend for certain spaces."

Works well, almost as good as window fans of old,
July 6, 2009
"I searched in many local stores looking for a window fan that provided more airflow than the small double fan style that is so common now.
Its not built as sturdily as large window fans used to be, and is made of mostly plastic. However, it moves a good amount of air.
The storm-guard feature is nice. This enables the window to be shut without removing the fan. However, unlike normal window fans, installation requires installing 4 screws into the window frame.
Given that there are so few alternatives for large window fans, this is a solid choice. Also, Home Depot's price was really good in comparison to other retailers."

Excellent ventilation fan,
June 22, 2009
"This fan is very powerful yet quiet. We have it set up to draw air into one of our bedrooms from the hall. It cools the area quickly. The reversable feature is also handy. We draw air in during the cool parts of the day and draw air out at night keeping the house comfortable.
It mounted easily with template and mounting hardware.
The window closes easily without hving to remove the fan. An excellent value for the money."

Great Fan - Save on your electric bill!,
May 26, 2009
"I bought this fan and love it. The price was right and the fan was right. I was looking to save a little money by running my air conditioning less and this fan circulates the air in my entire hour very well. At night I don't even run the air anymore. Simply turn this fan on and open your windows! It is very quiet and I can sleep easily with it on the high setting."
