Having had this microwave for several years, I was always in fear of it not being available when it needed replaced! I love all of the cooking capabilities - I don't need to use my regular oven unless it's a holiday. So, as soon as it had an issue I immediately started to search for it. I was delighted to find it with free shipping at Home Depot ... and ... they price matched it for me from another website! Great service!

my first microwave was a sharp, lasted forever,,.my next was not, and a complete disaster, didnt last a yr... it was harder to find a good convection one but this one is as good as the first i had , easy to use and works faster!

Based on reviews, we spent more than initially planned and we're glad we did. With 2 in the household and, on occasion 3, I rarely turn on the oven anymore. We're especially pleased with how easy it is to bake and grill. The microwave capacity is not compromised by the fusion of cooking modes.

Purchased this when my Magic Chef kept humming after it completed cooking food. Spent a little more than I had planned but well worth it. Could not be happier with it. Cooks and defrosts food much more evenly. Have so far used Compu cook , Compu pizza and Compu grill features. (just keep the manual near the unit for a while to know what setting numbers to use). No soggy pizza crust! Crisp how I like it. Was surprised how well it grills food. Takes longer than a regular grill, but food comes out with grill lines as if cooked on an outside grill. So many more features that I look forward to exploring.

this one replaced my 7 year old one in my RV. I didn't get the color i wanted because it wasn't in stock when mine stopped working, but has all the functions i am use to. Great little oven.

We're Back to Baking. And are very Happy. Also, have grilled indoors on a rainy day, no charcoal required.
Best is the Price, When the other one died, replacement cost was $1200. This Bad Boy was only a fraction of that.
I Hope it Lasts a good long time.

Owned one of these for years, just got this for my mother to replace her microwave and toaster oven. I love this oven.
Since I'm the lazy sort, I don't really use all the the features.. I
know the easiest ways to bake "crispy" breaded chicken breasts, bake a whole chicken, pork chops, etc. The size is good, fits on the counter. I did find this oven for $30 cheaper at another online store and Home Depot matched the price.

Had my previous carousel for 17 years before it died. I don't understand why you can only get this product online and not in any store. It is a great micro and a great convection oven. Much cheaper to use on most things than my big electric oven. I only use that for big holiday meals now and do everything in the smaller carousel micro/convection including baking!.

This has been a great microwave & 2nd oven. I was surprised to find I could fit a full 12" pizza to bake. I'm not even close to using all the features the microave offers, but the oven heats up fast and works as advertised.

I bought this Sharp R-820JS Microwave/Convection/grill about 4 or 5 years ago at Walmart. I love it so much that when it died, Here I am buying the Exact same unit again, Only this time from Home Depot because Walmart doesn't sell this unit anymore and Home Depot's price is cheapest.

This replaces a microwave & small broiler oven. Here in AZ we do not turn our oven on in the summer unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.
Microwaves as expected. Top of unit gets hot.
Grilled salmon the first day - turned out perfect.
Have not baked yet.
Unit projects out to almost the end of the counter top due to the heat exchanger in the rear.

I have had this combo microwave oven for two months have been putting it through its paces. The 900 Watt microwave function works as you would expect. What makes this unit special is all the other cooking modes that accompany the microwave function.
The first test I tried was to see how accurate the convection oven temperature was, and how long it would take to reach a preset temperature. I placed a thermocouple probe in the center of the empty oven to measure temperature. I set the temperature to 425 deg. F. It took 20 minutes for the temperature to reach 423 deg. I also tried settings of 300, 350, 400, and 450. I found that the temperature held within 2 degrees of setpoint for all these temperature except for 450. The oven would only get to 430 degrees.
The Roast function is very effective. It works using a combination of microwaves and convection heating. The microwave comes on at 30 percent power to speed cooking the interior of a roast, and the convection ovens browns the outside. I cooked a two pound bottom round roast in 25 min. and it came out great. The outside was well browned and the inside was juicy.
Convection Mode. You can set this with Preheat or convection without preheat.
Grill Mode: You can set this for Top Grill or Top and Bottom Grill
The unit has many preprogrammed cooking modes to cook specific foods.
The sturdy removable turntable is porcelan covered steel on the bottom and the top has an easy to clean non-stick surface. The interior is stainless steel. The exterior has an attractive appearance and good fit and finish.
Here are few things to watch out for. The unit puts out heat from the top back of the oven. I had to install a heat shield under the cabinet that is over the oven to protect canned goods in the cabinet from getting too warm. Also, it's difficult to get hot pans out of the oven since there are no shelves that slide out. Pans sit on the turntable or rack and so you have to reach into a hot oven to get pans out.
The turntable occationally makes a grinding noise. The digital display has a narrow angle of view. If the oven is on the kitchen counter, this is no big deal. But if it's lower or higher, you won't be able to read the display. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.

I had a sharp microwave/convection oven it seems like forever. After 8 years of very heavy use, several moves, and a couple of stents in storage it finally needed to be put to rest. I was very pleased with the pricing and speed of delivery of my Sharp product from Home Depot

I am very impressed with the look of it, classy and not humongous. Just what I was looking for. I have only had it a couple of weeks so am not totally familiar with all it can do....so far, it is smarter than I am. Seems you can program it to do everything but mop the floors....maybe it can do that too! Microwave works like any other, and I think I will like the convection oven. Have used it a few times and so far great results. The oven does throw off a lot of heat so needs to be unobstructed on top.
