This is my 3rd Sharp carousel since 1983. I love the fact that I can bake, cook meat and just use the microwave.

Wanted this oven because of the microwave with convection ability. Tried out a frozen 15 pound turkey and went through defrost to combo convection/microwave and it turned out great. Love my new oven!!!

I purchased this model to replace an earlier model Sharp micro-convection oven that died after 16 years. There is very little difference between the two, which is a very good thing. The versatility of this oven is outstanding and it is very easy to use. I would highly recommend this to any friends who need a new oven, especially if they want a convection & have little room for both.

We bought this to replace the same make and model we had for over 10 years. In that time, the original unit did fine, and the convection oven feature was perfect for those times we just needed a small item heated quickly, or when we had big family events. Keypad is intuitive, and the settings are easy to use. After using it nearly every day, eventually the microwave section gave out. I'm confident we'll get at least another 10 years out of our new onel.

this is a special convection microwave! i have had this same (or updated one) for over25 years and it is the only one to buy. it can cook a turkey breast in an hour -so juicy and moist that you will be doing the thanksgiving bird every year. i use the convectional componet daily; to warm, to bake and for all cakes, pies and scones. it pre-heats faster than my big oven and i swear cooks better! not for someone that just wants to re-heat coffee....

I purchased this covection microwave to replace one that just recently died. I was very happy to find that I could get the same exact model. I had my previous one for over 10 years and absolutely loved it. It was great because it was like having a second oven. It bakes beautifully and defrosts meat great. I only had it repaired once in all those years. I would highly recommend this product.

it is our 3rd one- average life -6-8 yrs. constantly used
for microwaving and baking as well- every thing from cakes, frozen biscuits, etc. quicker - cleaner- doesn't heat up the kitchen-
again compared against other brands before purchasing and the Sharp came out on top -

I noticed several of these reviews were from people who recently purchased their microwave ..i purchased a home in 2006 with one built in the wall -in 2008 it stopped heating so we purchased the same unit so it would fit in the wall opening - the carousel stopped working a couple months ago and today the heat is not working on this one either - it is a very expensive microwave to replace every couple of years - we REALLY don't want to get another but we will have to see about the wall/cabinet issue..so if you haven't already purchased one i would buy something else

This Sharp Microwave / Convection Oven combination is exactly what we were looking for. We previously had a similar Sharp oven that served us flawlessly for about 12 years. We would have gladly paid to have it repaired but unfortunately parts were no longer available. Since our old oven had a built in niche in our kitchen cabinets, the new oven is exacly the right size and color, has the same user friendly features, plus all the technological improvements that have occured in the last 12 years. If this oven serves us as well as its predecessor, we will be delighted

I've had a built in microwave/convection oven since 1986 and have used it extensively over the years. I truly loved it - especially during the holidays when my ovens were being used for other food items. The combination micro/convection does a fantastic job on cooking meats (roasts, turkey breasts, pork tenderloin, etc), browning on the outside but keeping the inside juicy and moist. I also used it for cooking other items with great success. When the convection portion in my older unit went out I started looking for one that would fit in my brick surround wall and found the Sharp Carousel was the only one with all the features I wanted, and the size that would fit my wall opening. With a few adjustments it fits perfectly and so far works great. Since I just purchased it and have been using it for a short time I will only give it a 4 star review. But as time goes on and it continues to work like my old micro/convection did, I would not hesitate recommending it to a friend and will definitely give it a 5 star review.

This unit replaces a conventional microwave and is built in over my oven. I am already familiar with it as I have one just like it in my motorhome. Am going to love having a "second oven" for those family holidays and parties when a single oven just isn't enough.
This particular unit seems a little noisier than the one in the motorhome. Probably not as much sound insulation in my built in wall unit as in the motorhome.
Cooking characteristics are excellent.

This is our 3rd Sharp microwave oven. Our first lasted 15 years, the 2nd about 10. All came with a cookbook and all were excellent microwaves. One had a temperature probe. I love this new one! I baked a cake in it and it was the ultimate best tasting one than any I've ever made in a regular oven. It is amazing to key in time and temperature and I don't have to periodically check the cake. A big bonus is cooking in the convection oven does not heat up the house. The microwave, bakes, broils, and browns food. I did lots of research and most other microwaves with equivalent features were $700 to $2000. My only regret is that it wasn't on sale when we ordered it about three weeks ago. Other than that I am extremely happy and satisfied. It might make conventional stoves obsolete!

This is our 3rd Sharp Countertop Convection Oven. Our first was purchased in the late 80's followed by the replacement model in 1996, which was just retired and replaced with the newest replacement model # R930AK.
We are keeping the previous one to repair and use in another location. When we built our new home in 2006 we had an empty cabinet area built in above our new wall oven just for our Sharp; this space is now the home of our 3rd unit. When we are not using our outdoor grill we use the convection cycle everyday for our evening meal and have even used it for a 15 lb turkey or large boneless Easter ham, or pork roast leaving our built in oven for other items. Not only does the oven work perfectly but it cleans up so very easy. Our use is mostly in the Convection mode and our built-in home oven is used only for when we have large quantities of food / cookies to make. WAY TO GO SHARP....KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT PROGRESS IN PRODUCT DESIGN AND CAPABILITY.
