The Hampton Bay Torrington 52 in. Cottage Wood Ceiling Fan features a bead-board housing design and 5 blades all in a cottage wood finish perfect for kitchens or to accent similarly-styled interior decor. A scroll downrod is provided as an optional accent to lend a finishing touch to the fan decor. Four 40-watt bulbs provide ample lighting and the fan motor offers superior air movement for large spaces up to 20 ft. x 20 ft. and is backed by a lifetime warranty. For added convenience, a remote control is included allowing you to easily adjust the fan settings from a distance.

I am disappointed with the fan. While it is beautiful to look at and matches perfectly, there is no option to use the remote or not and the electric part that goes into the ceiling box is too big to fit. Therefore, since there is no pull chain option for light and fan I can only have the light and fan on or off.

I ordered this on-line and it was sent within a week. All parts included - no missing parts. Went together smoothly and it is a beautiful fan. Not white - beige and blends in wonderfully - I love this fan - runs quiet and is great to look at. I looked at many stores because I wanted something different and not white - I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Fan looks great, but boy does this thing hume.This fan can not be hard wired to get ride of the remote. Look around before buying this fan. It is just to loud. This is the second Hapton Bay fan, I should of learned. That first was also a hummer as well.

I love this fan. I have two and would like to buy more. Just that it's on the expensive side so can't afford to have it in every room. It's a great fan, quiet, lovely finish and very classy.

I never installed this fan. I ordered it because it said it was white. Unfortunately, it is ANTIQUE white. It's beautiful, just not white.

This is such a good looking well performing fan...
The motor is terrific, no noise, and very powerful...
the lights are so pretty they set off a wonderful glow...and the dimming capacity is just so soothing...very very happy with this fan I would recommend it to anyone...

Great fan with a few minor drawbacks

I absolutely love the look of this fan. I wanted something to go in my (kinda small) "master "bedroom that has a vaulted ceiling. Since the room is small, I didn't want anything that would seem heavy and dark hanging in the middle of the room. For that it is perfect. The installation did take some time, the remote receiver does not fit well inside the housing, it is really too big, it is still not balanced and no matter what we do with the balancing kit, it doesn't solve the problem. We can only run it on Low and Medium speeds, it wobbles to much on high. I wish there was a way to install a remote and also have both of the wall switches work. (there may be, but I didn't call an electrician) At least no obvious way. Maybe if it was mounted on a flat ceiling it would work better, I don't know. But, like I said, it is great and fits in perfectly with my shabby-chic-ish style home.
