Pleased with Product,

"I spent a lot of time researching and looked at a lot of refrigerators before buying the LG french door with bottom freezer. I have owned my refrigerator for 8 months now and am very pleased with it. There is plenty of storage inside with lots of adjustable shelves and 2 crisper bins that do a good job keeping fruits and veggies fresh. The large pull out bin holds a pizza box or sheet cake. In my household, that's a plus! I love the roomy bottom pullout freezer. Sometimes the ice cubes fall under the tray and onto the floor, but it's not a big deal. One of the best features is the fact that handprints aren't left all over the front. Stainless steel is definately the way to go! I also like the easy to read temperature gauge and the alarm that sounds if the doors are not closed all the way. I would recommend this product and will buy LG appliances again."

Don't judge a book by its cover!,

"I purchased one of these and it worked grand for about a year. Then, the freezer compartment kept icing up--which normally indicates that a seal is not tight & air is getting in. After 4 maintenance calls to 'fix' it, I gave up and returned it. The refrigerator part worked beautifully but that bottom freezer drawer failed after only one year."

Love it!!,

"I have had this refrigerator now for two months and love it. If I have one complaint it is the ice storage box. The icemaker has to be switched off every once in a while or the box overfills and the ice falls out when the drawer is opened. The refrigerator is large and roomy and so is the freezer. Light bright and easy to clean. Would recommend this to anyone with a family"

Great Purchase,

"I was hesitant in spending this much on a fridge. I'm glad I did! This is a great fridge. I read the reviews before my purchase and the comments about the ice maker made me nervous but IT IS FINE. It does produce ice at a rapid rate. I simply flick the switch on and off as needed. NO BIG DEAL! The freezer is roomy and great with the two level pull out feature. We love this and highly reccommend it for anyone looking to upgrade."

LOVE IT!!,

"We recently purchased this refrigerator and are thrilled with it. It's the perfect size for our family of five. LG really put a lot of thought into the design to get the maximum usage out of it. It's so nice not to have to bend over to get things out of the bottom of the refrigerator. The freezer has some wonderful pull-out bins that are easy to use. Best of all, we can't believe how quiet it is!"

Happy So Far,
September 9, 2007
By KatieP

"My husband and I bought this fridge back in March, but didn't start using it until our kitchen renovation was complete in July. Upon installing it after the renovation we discovered that the door to one of the crisper drawers was broken. We called LG and they had a new part to us within a week. Aside from that, it's been working great. It's very quiet. The only noise is when ice drops from the ice maker. We like that it has trays that slide in and out, that it beeps when the doors are left open and that it has several different areas in terms of cooling temperatures."

Love It !!!,

"I've had this unit for over two months and love it.
IIt is quiet. In fact it is so quiet I thought it wasn't running at first.
IIt is beautiful. To maike it really shine pick up some stainless steel wipes available almost anywhere
.
The French doors make everything easy to see and reach
.
A freezer on the bottom makes perfect sense. Cold air, heavier that hot air, stays in the freezer and doesn't fall out of the opened door as in a side by side.

Bad Refrigerator,
August 25, 2007
By FrustratedDFW
"We've had this fridge for over 6 months. Since day one, the icemaker overproduces ice and will spill out of the ice tray. If left unattended, the ice will start falling on the floor. We've had technicians out to fix this problem, but they can't fix it. We're now in the process of returning the fridge. Currently, LG has had the audacity to tell Home Depot and myself that LG will only pay for a new ice maker - which they've already replaced once completely... Incidentally, we also have LG's cell phones, and they drop more calls than the previous motorolas. We've had a few problems with LG's washer and dryer too..."

"I've had this refrigerator for a couple months now and I am very pleased with it. A drawer seemed to be damaged in shipping but with one call to LG customer service, I was sent a new one, no questions asked. The only drawback I have found is that the doors can be difficult to close properly when you have them both open, but the door sensor will notify you when this happens. Also if you don't use ice every day, the drawer can get very full and when you slide it out, ice tends to fall on the floor. Other than those small inconveniences, I would happily recommend this refrigerator to others."

Attractive, Quality Appliance with Nice Features,
August 15, 2007
By DG41
"The LG 25 Cu. Ft. French door refrigerator is attractive and roomy, with many convenience features.
PROS:
-solidly built
-cools quickly and maintains temperature well
-French doors are very convenient
-LG stainless is good at resisting fingerprint marks
-the height for nearly every main shelf and door shelf can be adjusted
-generally quiet operation. However, the ice maker is very noisy, when the ice tray empties and the water replenishes.
CONS (the ice maker):
-ice maker is very noisy, when the ice tray empties and the water replenishes
-the different ice sizes are indistiguishable from each other
-the "party ice" mode has no noticable difference in ice production

"When you open the bottom door to retrieve Ice Cubes the arm in the tray racks across the ice bin causing the ice to fall out on to the floor. Its been 8 months and LG acknowledges the problem but has no re-designed ice bin."

LG Counter Depth Refrigerator,
April 8, 2007
By Todi
from Mendota, Virginia
"LGC21760ST
Spill protector tempered glass, stainless steel, five adjustable gallon size shelves…these are all great features of my new LG refrigerator; but if I’m honest, I didn’t buy it for any of these reasons.
This refrigerator whispered for me to take her home the first time I saw her at Home Depot. (Yes--she's definitely a female. No man has this much style.) I went home and my existing refrigerator looked plain; and for the first time, I was bothered by the fact that it wasn’t counter depth. The new LG has an option of counter depth, which is what I purchased. No longer will I have to look at my refrigerator protruding out over six inches from my cabinet surround. The new LG also has the French doors I love, and the freezer compartment is in the bottom. Until recently, I could not afford a refrigerator with such style; however, this refrigerator was surprisingly affordable. I like the sleek, clean finish--definitely a classy dresser! Who says two women can't get along in the kitchen? We compliment one another.
I want everyone to know I didn’t need this refrigerator. My existing refrigerator is a side by side that works fine. She’ll go in the garage. I realize this is an extravagance, but my justification is that having two refrigerators will offer up a convenience and cost savings as I can now stock up and make fewer trips to the grocery store.
Good looks, affordable and knows how to help me save money. She's my new, best friend!!"

6 months and 3 repairs later - Buyer Beware,
March 27, 2007
By Maranatha
from Chicago, IL
"We have owned this refrigerator for 6 months now and are on the third repair. LG's customer service is rude and completely unhelpful. The sealed cooling system is the current issue, which will apparently take over a week to get repaired after requiring a complete disassembly of the fridge and we live in the Chicago area with plenty of service people available. Having a 16 month old, being without our new $1,800 refrigerator for 2 weeks is absurd. We loved the product initialy, but cannot ignore the problems with it and LG's complete lack of care towards their customers. Home Depot, however, has been great and has agreed to replace the refrigerator, which LG refuses to do. My suggestion is to avoid LG's products or buy the extended warranty and pray."

LG Electronics Fridge,
February 22, 2007
By Anonymous
from Granbury TX
"I would have given this product a 5 but we had a snag. Our freezer drawer was not installed properly and it would not close. It was causing the freezer to work to hard and put frost on EVERYTHING! I called Home Depot and was sent to LG Electronics, was asked to trouble shoot. Did what they asked even though I knew what was wrong. They set us up with Action Appliance in Fort Worth and they were so RUDE! We refused service, they got us another company out of Stephenville TX and they were great. They put the drawer in right and now it's wonderful! I love this fridge just didn't care for the service part and the hassle.
Ice is great and you just turn off if it produces more than you can use. My vegies have expanded their shelf life since I got this fridge. I adjusted the first top shelf and have PLENTY of room for drinks as well as food. The doors are great for full gallons of milk and our plastic, smaller drink bottles. The slider on the door shelf is WONDERFUL to keep them from bobbling around as you open and close the door. Love it!!! Will buy LG again! Hope to get a stove next."

The ice cubes cometh,
October 12, 2006
By parkcityjanie
from Boise, ID
"Have been extremely pleased with this refrigerator except that the ice maker continues to make ice although the container is full. When pulling out the drawer to retrieve ice, ice cubes spill over onto the floor of the freezer and also some will pop out onto the floor. I love the ease of moving the shelves when placing large platters in the refrigerator and the large vegetable crisper drawers. So much more convenient than my previous side by side!"

Lots of room and I love the bottom freezer,
August 11, 2006
By osofine
"I have only had this refrigerator for about 2 months - but I love it! The bottom freezer is roomy and easy to access. The ice cube maker says it makes 3 sizes of cubes - but the difference between the sizes is negliible. The shelves are easy to adjust and slide out easily. The bottom crisper is a huge drawer that you can use for trays of food or fill with lunch meats and cheeses. The shelves on the doors are deep and hold a lot of jars and bottles. It is so nice to have the food at eye level instead of kneeling on the floor to look on the bottom shelf! I treated the stainless steel with a SS treatment 3 or 4 times, and now fingerprints wipe off easily. It's also kind of nice not be able to use magnets on it. I get to look at the beauty of this french door refrigerator instead of a mess of magnets and notes."

I love the french doors but.......,
July 12, 2006

"I love the look of the french door and pull-out freezer, but the freezer won't defrost itself. We have had such a problem with it, and 2 repair centers unable to fix. Now we have to have it replaced, and it's only 5 months old. Customer service slow to deal with, on hold for long periods, and slow to follow up on what they say they will do."
