Married 37 years-finally got a GOOD washer/dryer!

In the 37 years that I have been doing laundry for our family of 5, I have never had a washer and dryer that I was completely happy with - until now, that is! We purchased this LG matching washer and dryer when we moved into our new home last year. And frankly, I was hesitant to buy a front-loader. But all doubt disappeared when I ran the first load. Our clothes have never been as clean, with less detergent and totally wrinkle-free! This was the best investment our family has made - less detergent, less water and less wrinkles!

We just bought our home and have never purchased a washer or dryer before. We wanted to make sure that we got a brand that we trusted and energy efficiant. It's been six months. It is extremely easy to use and dries very fast. It even set a timer. My boyfriend even likes doing the laundry because he says that it was easy to figure out. It has several settings and it hasn't worn out or fadden any of my jeans. I haven't see an significant increase in my electrical bill either. I think it's a great unit for the money.

When I bought my washer I had to have the matching LG dryer
This dryer is every thing I had hope for. A excellent dryer I have dried my daughter king size comforter in it no match for this dryer.
There is really not enought words to decribe this dryer. I did my home work before I purchase it and the washer with consumer
report thie LG dryer & washer set was rated the highest. A nother plus with all the other time controls and child safety locks on both items a great improvement and the drawers are great storage too a must have.

When my washer died, I decided to buy the LG Tromm washer. Well, of course, my old dryer didn't match, so I had to have the DLE8377WM. I love all of the "chimes and lights" on both units. The dryer is a great appliance. Since the washer gets most of the water out, it doesn't take nearly as long to dry clothes
My husband and I deided to buy the extended warranty for $89, since we had no knowledge of LG repairmen.

We have owned this dryer for about a month (along with the LG Tromm steam washer). The only complaints are that the dryer sensors sometimes leave items damp and the dryer does not automatically continue to tumble the clothers after it stops to keep them from getting wrinkled. You have to remember to press a different button to turn on the wrinkle prevention feature. The dryer does hold a very large load of clothing.

A really large dryer

I purchased this dryer to match the steam fresh washer LG sells. The dryer itself is huge and actually holds and dries a much larger load than the washer washes. I found that the auto sensor drying cycle does not perform well--leaves several items still damp. This is okay if you plan on ironing those items before putting them away, but not so good if you turn on the dryer and don't unload it until much later. I only use the manual dry cycles and get much better results. Overall a very good quiet dryer, just don't depend on the drying sensor.

Highly Recommended Dryer!

I would highly recommend this LG dryer. I was pretty skeptical about spending this amount of money on a dryer, but I bought the matching washer and I really liked it, so when my dryer finally died, I bought the matching dryer. I have never been so impressed. This dryer will never overheat your clothes and honestly does the best job of wrinkle reduction I've ever seen, and I have owen plenty of 'good' dryers. I highly recommend this dryer! Buy away!
