It is a great fan for moving a lot of air quietly. It looks good, although the color is dark bronze, not gold as named. Installing the light kit globe was difficult, and the instructions offer little help in this tricky step where the glass bowl could be dropped, especially if on a ladder as I was.
The "Installer's Choice® 3-position Mounting System" applies only to flat ceilings in a room with normal ceiling heights. The fan comes with only a short downrod, and I had to purchase a 12-inch downrod so that the blades would not hit my sloped ceiling. I also had to purchase extension chains for the two short chains supplied.
The glass bowl is an antique "cracked?" design, not plain as shown in the illustration. It looks good, and the resulting illumination was worth the extra trip to get the two light bulbs not supplied.
